  1. You don't have to have multiple personalities to participate in, and enjoy, Micro-Events...but it sure helps! One of me isn't crazy about geocaching, but I bribe her with cookie-dough, and it all works out. Jamie (and Monique) - NFA
  2. I will not be signing the inside of myself...rather, it is required that you take a picture of yourself with the cache at the event coordinates. Absolutely not! Logging multiple "attended" logs would be silly and be cheating, no matter how you play the game...it would cheapen the whole concept of the Micro-Event cache!!! Don't ask, don't tell. Jamie - NFA
  3. I would love to attend a Mega-Event sometime, but am not sure if there will ever be one within driving distance, so I came up with an idea that will work well for me...I hope that TPTB can add it to the cache-types with minimal trouble. A Micro-Event (or Nano-Event, I don't really care which you name it) would be an event attended by one person, the organizer... I spend a lot of time talking to myself about geocaching, much of it under my breath, so this would be a great opportunity for me to increase my "credit" for time spent on geocaching. I don't always know when I will spend an afternoon, or even 15 minutes, talking to myself about geocaching...so instead of the advance notification, it would be great if TPTB could allow the posting and logging of the Micro-Events to be retroactive, so I could post/log one after the fact. Thanks, Jamie - NFA
  4. To have fun in the outdoors, by myself, with my family, or with friends To exercise enough to avoid a heart-attack until my son is middle-aged To visit cool places that other people liked enough to place a cache at the site To eventually break 200 finds Jamie - NFA
  5. I'm deeply offended by Barry Bonds "surpassing" Babe Ruth's Homerun record, and think that the new "record" should go in the books with an * (or a couple)... What do TPTB think about "steroid-man" beating out the babe? Jamie - NFA
  6. They're both on the move... Jamie - NFA
  7. to be fair, cleaning-up and archiving those un-maintained virtuals does clutter up the peruvian landscape...oh wait...no, it doesn't Jamie
  8. to be fair, cleaning-up and archiving those un-maintained virtuals does prevent clutter all over the peruvian landscape...oh wait...no, it doesn't Jamie
  9. paid for this coin, didn't get a refund...would still like the coin... Jamie - NFA jsheffield@gmail.com
  10. I like the idea for the potential "spreading the word" benefits of a large event. I would like to see it altered to allow for posting 1 year ahead, and to expand the alert radius to 1000-2000 miles. Jamie - NFA

Thanks for the continued interest! ...and yes, there are still some left. Have a good weekend everyone! Jamie - NFA

  18. somebody once logged a find on a cache of mine in the wrong location, but when i went out to check on the cache I found that somebody had hidden a "replacement cache" when they couldn't find it a couple of months earlier...so I had 2 cache containers in one location...did the people logged in the 2nd container falsely log a "found it" or not?
  19. groan...8 more to go to get a new page... saying you found something you didn't find is bad, but saying you didn't find something you really did find is just silly...funny, isn't it?
  20. I don't think that people should log a "found it" when they didn't really find it...what do you think?
  21. oh...sorry, they just found that one, no serious crime committed...
  22. in my book, a "found it" isn't really equal to a "DNF"...but that's just me...
  23. Sometimes I don't find caches, most of the time I do
