My family will try our 1st cache his weekend. I am scared after reading all this stuff about reading a GPS. I have always used my GPS for speed, distance, and top speed. I sure hope its easier than im reading.
remember to look around when you get close dont try to rely solely on the gps

Why 30? What do you know at 30 finds that you didn't know at 29?there should be a rule that you cant place until you have found 30plus caches there is alot of things to consider27 29 30 I was trying to state that I think you should seek for a while before you hide, not trying to start a fight just an opinion guess I shouldnt post anymore
No - don't feel that way. The forums can seem a bit harsh at times - many of the regulars just want you be able to defend your position. Your point has been brought up about a thousand times and in every case there is a wide split between those that want a minimum and those that do not. However - reasonable people will always be willing to debate the point with thoughtful well reasoned arguments.
I want to place a cache but personally am going to wait till at least 30 I would rather quality than quantity I want to make sure it is perfect and unique. No I dont care if people place caches before they find any just my opinion.

I cant compare to anything but my 2002 magellan sportrak but it is amazing to have all info in one machine no paper! It did take a bit to get used to lots of options the touch screen is a nice change it is sometimes tough to see screen but I think the accuracy and options far outweigh that. I would do it again I was looking at the Dakota 10 but my wife said to buy a better model so we dont end up buying it in a couple of months
