  1. My goal is to get one. Haven't had one published close enough where I can leave work to get one yet.
  2. Some people are reporting http://live.geocaching.com but I haven't tried it. It may also be only for Europe at this time.
  3. I'm pumped, just got my new Vista from Wal-Mart.com ($198 with 97 cent shipping) and I can't wait to load up my PQ's on it and take it out tonight!!
  4. My wife and daughter enjoy it (for now) so I've done all 25 finds with them, but I'd like to try solo sometime. I think it'd be nice to be out there on my own too.
  5. I had one. I looked and looked. Took my wife back with me, she found it in like 45 seconds. Duh.
  6. I love every thing but using the compass to get to the cache. The compass is to slow to update for me. But every other part of it is worth the price.
  7. I have indeed. Not a ton of info on it. They have a meeting coming up in August, but it's 45 minutes away. Not sure I'll be able to get there. Thanks!
  8. I was just picking countries around the world using the map feature to see how may caches there were (yes, I'm bored at work) and saw this one in Ireland. http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...37-5b7a0b580b81
  9. Mine doesn't. I can hold those bars down all day and nothing happens. Hmmm, very odd. Works well for me.
  10. The Nuvi's DO have a compass screen. Simply hold down on the green signal bars. Now, you have to move and it shows you which direction you are going. That screen also shows you your current coordinates. Add in pilotsnipes directions that add descriptions, logs and hints....well now you are cooking. But the above is also correct, it is not rugged. For my use right now (using it in town, in parks with easy PnG's since I'm new to this) it's perfect. If I start going on longer, more rugged trips, I will probably want to invest in a better handheld.
  11. Also on Twitter and love it. I'm addicted.
  12. Thanks. I'm starting to wonder if my email system at work is blocking it because I've had it on for a few days and no emails. Maybe I'm just anxious.
  13. Thanks, I have my handheld already, Just looking for a good car one that would let you add in the cords. How can you tell that you can add cords in when you are looking at the specks. I know you can key in coordinates in most, if not all Garmin Nuvis. Even the inexpensive ones like the 205 Yep, I have a 200 and you can put in coordinates and it will give you driving directions to it.
  14. Holy crap this is amazing. All I did was load the waypoints but I can't wait to try tomorrow. BTW, I have a Nuvi 200 and I can hold down the signal bars to get the compass and location. It's great.
  15. Hey guys, just found this thread. I'm in Normal, IL and just became a premium subscriber today! We started going this last week on our vacation to Wisconsin but found 3 within a half mile of our house in Normal. Got the wife hooked!
  16. I guess I lurked for a while, since I registered last Christmas when I got my first GPS but really started looking just last week with the new iPhone App. We found 9 in our first week and are hooked!
  17. Also a newbie and loving it. We went on vacation in northern Wisconsin and found our first 8 caches ever! Now that I'm home and did a search in the area there are TONS with in 10 minutes of my house! Can't wait to start finding those!
