Awesome job. Love it.

Also love my Vista. I don't use it in a car, but use it for caching along with the iPhone and it's great paperless goodness.
The electronic compass is worth the price of getting the Vista, in my opinion.

Ok, I've got the post this, even though it's a coin it's along these same lines.
I own one coin (so you can easily see it on my profile) that was put into an unpublished cache last week. I'm not sure what's going on with it. Should I wait a while before contacting the person who dropped it?
-
Hmm link didn't work for me.
-
Yep as soon as your feet or hands get wet it's over. No way to get them dry or warm again.
-
I'm not really cool with using unlisted caches for this purpose. But this is a question for Groundspeak. You do realize that people (strangers) will be able to find your home this way?
Not if the cache as unlisted/unpublished. When you click on the cache name it says that it isn't published and so no coords show up.
-
Make sure you don't make 0 an O or some thing like that.
-
I also the have same problem. I'm posting field notes using the GC iPhone app.
-
Not very exciting, but willing to put put small TB's and coins in my cache in central Illinois (USA).
-
I love how there is no explanation on the log. Just he placed it like it was no big deal. Heh. Glad to hear it's moving again!
-
After 7 years and almost 4 months one of my TB`s has finally been placed.
Started off being mad at the cacher for keeping it, not answering e-mails. Then it turned to worrying that maybe something had happened to them or they just stopped playing the game and I just wrote it off and forgot about it. Today I received an e-mail saying they had lost it during a move and they dropped it in a cache. First one they have logged that they have found since picking it up.
Cool! Got a link?
-
So just grab it from that cache and put it in the right one. Not much else you can do about it.
-
I received a geocoin as a FTF prize today and am going to activate it and send it out.
I've only seen/moved travel bugs, never a coin. Does it need a mission sheet or any thing attached to it, or should I put it in a baggie? I wouldn't want some one to take it as swag instead of moving it on.
Thanks!
-
It's probably from the iPhone app. GC recently allowed direct logging from the iPhone app to the logs. They may have hit submit on accident or didn't realize that was going to happen.
-
Awesome, maybe it'll come down to central IL and I'll take a photo of it with my trombone!
-
Another neat thing to do, is get your group together with the travelers in hand and photo them en mass, posting same to each travelers' page. Aside from having their TB moved, one of the best things you can do is to give the owner interesting photos of the travelers' journey.
Is your new TB moving yet, isuquinndog?
No, I need to get the mission sheet laminated today and then I hope it stops raining so I can get out to my newly hid cache and drop it in. Thanks for asking though!
-
There are no trading restrictions on TB's. They are not swag, so you can take all or as many as you like and you don't have to leave a thing.
The only rule is if there is a mission sheet attached, read it first to see if you can help it get to where it's going. If it needs to go West and you are going East, leave it for some one who is going West. Otherwise, as others would say around here..."Move those bugs!"
-
You really don't need a TB to track your caches. Geocach.com does it for you. Just go to your profile and see all your activity right away.
There is no mileage accumulated that way. TB will keep track of that.

Hello, I'm from the States with a last name of Quinn. I have a Quinn keychain that I'm releasing as a Travel Bug soon with it's ultimate goal of getting to Ireland since that's where the name is from.
I've never been to Ireland (but want to go badly) but I'd like to make a specific cache the goal. I believe my ancestors are from the County of Cork so is there a popular TB Hotel there or a popular or well known cache there? Any help would be terrific!
-
Finding a cache over there is a great idea! Thanks!
-
Looks good! Hope it travels far and makes its' mission.
Do add the mission statement to it. We find a lot of TBs w/o same, only to get home and find out that we can't help their mission. Would have left for one that could had it been attached.
Good Luck.
Yep, got it printed out, just haven't laminated it yet.
-
Here it is! I haven't released it yet because I'm in the process of creating my own cache and I'll put it there this week.

I say cash because in the computer world cache is pronounced cash so I just added the word geo in front of it.

If you email your reviewer, please provide coordinates, asking by "Name of Park" can really create some work.
There may not be a cache in the park.
Or there IS a cache in the park, part of a multi-cache, end point of a puzzle.
Many times a year, I see a cache submitted in a park with some form of, "we couldn't believe there's no cache here!". They shouldn't believe it - 'cause there is, indeed, a cache there; just no visible traditional cache.
Thanks. I did email the reviewer and he said that he can't tell if there are any multi/puzzle finals there until I actually submit it. I don't have a specific point figured out yet, I hope to do that this weekend. Thanks for the help!

Many users, including myself, are reporting that the iPhone app no longer works. We are receiving a "User not Validated" error when searching for caches near us. This is new since the site came back up yesterday.
