"Sensitive camo" "disrespecting the camo" Sounds like your first mistake was you didnt make your container idiot-proof. Combine this with your high-muggle area and yeah, people will complain about the hide, PM or not a PM. Your second mistake was your opinion on PMs. A PM is not a better player, a PM is just anyone that can pay $30 for additional Groundspeak tools for the game. People will complain about a hide no matter what. Make a better container or find a better cache location and move on. And put on your thick skin when reading logs.

wait until the FTF hound goes on vacation, then get a cache posted across the street from his/her house.

That reminds me, I keep forgetting to register. Done and done!

I think a big ol' PowerTrail might be fun to put on a trail going up the side of a mountain. Get a nice elevation change of 5,000 feet or more from farthest cache to closest cache on a looping trail.

If you get to Beuhring, can you rescue my Civil War geocoin from the TB hotel/prison there?

I've been using GridKiller on my GSAK databases for the cache runs I have coming up once I'm stateside. Its going to be nice to have a day to cache and make sure that I hit a few of the combos I haven't before. I've got some planned mountain climbs, so that will take out several of the high terrain combos.

New 'Caches in a Day' Record Imminent?
EscapeFromFlatland replied to addisonbr's topic in General geocaching topics
bittsen- I'm back in PDX pretty soon. Anytime after Memorial Day let me know, I'll travel with you to hit all these caches. We can hit up Vegas afterward as a reward. -
I think we all know the answer. [hint: think Chekov going to Alameda to find the nuclear wessel]

how to map out my cache run

That's what I'm planning to do for some longer cache runs to work on DeLorme and County challenges. Drive to the far point and cache my way back. -
What if you're colorblind? Is it possible to use the flag system in the forums? For example, can I White Flag DENelson83?

The last time I went geocaching I had a 240B gunner in the turret of my truck providing overwatch while I found the cache. Being in the navy, you'll be able to get the kayak caches while you play with your dingy.

A Nelson is a double Chester. A Chester is a double Ron. A Lindsay is a triple Ron.

Some places around Portland have enough evil english ivy choking the trees that you can lose ammo cans under the stuff. -
scrap metal? But then, why leave the ammo can? I think when I get back to the states that maybe I'll check out a pawn shop or 2 to see if they have coins.

Once you leave Kuwait on R&R, its a chartered flight, but you land at a civilian airport to transfer to civilian flights to reach your final destination. My example: I took off from Kuwait and landed at Dallas-FtWorth, went thru the big greeting-line the USO volunteers do every day to greet us on our arrival home, then went thru airport security and took a civilian flight back to Portland. I'm just confused why someone would travel abroad on R&R without a passport, even if it were to a country where we have a base. And I know that my brigade went so far as to make sure those wanting to travel abroad had passports before their R&R was approved for those locations.

Is she with the 41st? I'm over here in Iraq from Portland, as well. If by "finance" you meant fiance then given the current state of this issue and the military you may not be doing her any good stating that "She's my sister's fiance". Heh. that's the least of my concerns. I was just trying to figure out if she was with the 41st cause my unit was the first to leave the US and that was only 9 months ago.

Incorrect. Patterson is not resigning. He is simply not running for election. They have Patterson until the elected replacement is sworn into office. -
I know if it were my property, I'd want to be the one to design and hide the cache or caches. Maybe get a local geocaching team or club to maintain it?

My squad leader: "Our squad will be escorting [insert element here] to [insert base here] tomorrow night." Me: "Sweet! That base is loaded with geocaches!"

Hmm.. maybe I should suggest we go visit the in-laws for Christmas. Does it really count as a visit if I'm only there to eat and sleep?
