  1. After only six months of caching, globalgirl surpassed two-zero-zero on a run of marka puzzle caches today. How fitting! Felicitations and many happy returns.
  2. Brodiebunch just passed 200! Congrats!

    Cache Attributes

Thanks for this new feature. 1) After updating my cache pages, I decided to use the following criteria for kid-friendly caches: nearby playground equipment and/or an ammo box that I have personally stashed (and will continue to replenish) with toys. Does that seem reasonable? 2) For the dogs-allowed designation, in public parks I assumed it meant on-leash as opposed to off-leash, so I added that attribute to my cache listings. Is on-leash the assumption when choosing that icon?
  4. Methinks there's photographic evidence of fauxSteve's 300th find at "Caution! Low Flying Fish." Congrats on your first webcam cache!
  5. Congratulations on that oh-so-memorable 100th find to TwoCyclists! They found it at a brand new k7-wave hide: City Light Woods.
  6. Congrats to Team Wallace (and perhaps GeoHamster) for hitting their 200th cache today at Northcrest Park.
  7. Further congrats to EGH for reaching yet another milestone: his 100th puzzle/mystery cache at markta's "Moon Over Queen Anne."
  8. Congratulations to evergreenhiker! on his 300th career multi-cache, which was garnered this evening at globalgirl's latest hide: "Thou Shalt Not...".
  9. I wasn't sure if I would enjoy a cache machine or not...now I know. Yet another aspect of geocaching that I find completely addicting. Being in the company of tolmaus, globalgirl, and evergreenhiker! was most enjoyable, and the four of us hope to complete the machine another day.
  10. My surname is the extremely German "Gross" (pronounced just like you think it should be...don't be shy!). A friend at work and I were talking about nicknames a few years ago, and I mentioned that I'd never really had a nickname. He immediately began calling me the more Italian-flavored Grossi; in fact, for the rest of that school year, I had several students who followed his example. When I found my first cache, I signed the logbook as Grossi. After I returned home to register, I decided my online persona should match the one I had just signed in the logbook. For years, it has always bothered me when people dropped capitals and used other shortcuts for online typing...maybe that's just the inescapable English-major part of my personality. After a bit of deliberation, I decided I should just "get over it," and registered as the lowercase grossi. It hasn't helped me with my aversion to incorrect online capitalization, but I'll forever remain grossi in the geocaching world.
  11. Congrats and whoo-ha to nevcowpok for reaching 100 today!! And, what a privilege to have my favorite cache placement chosen for the honor. "The authorities said...best leave it unsolved, really."
  12. Compliments of the season to evergreenhiker! for surpassing 2100! Now resting at 2107, after five more finds, EGH will have himself a delightful palindrome.
