I was worried when I saw that FSMs were turning up with damaged eyes – what chance of survival on the long trip to outback Oz? So it was with trembling hands that I opened my package from C&P today. Oh no! Two bleary eyes greeted me. The damage is actually not as bad as I thought at first, though one of the googly eyes doesn’t google anymore. (Aside – aren’t words funny? – to Aussies “googly” is a particular way of bowling in cricket and I’m sure google is something else too . . . . ) Fortunately the other coins were OK. I had intended to release one to spread the good word of Pastafarianism in Australia, but was worried the eyes would get damaged. But I clearly have been given a SIGN! The pre-damaged coin has been infused with the POWER and must be released. Swim, pirate fish, swim!

This shows where she has been. Good Grief, Bunya, how did you find this? I looked at the form of the url when I retrieved a list of my found geocaches and replace Bunya with The Geocoin Fairy, and (after a sprinkle of fairy dust (adding + +)) it worked.

Still available . . . this is taking a lot longer than the "real" sale!

Checked C&P recently?

Produced by Traveling Chief - see this thread. I think activation codes came with the coin.

The "gc3e" identifies the first cache in Australia.

As the cacher who placed this coin I'd better add some information here. I live in an infrequently visited area as far as geocachers go, and I was worried that my coin might not have much luck. I put it in a cache on a main highway to give it the best chance. By a totally unexpected bit of good luck it was picked up (on the day I placed it!) by a geocacher (who I don't know) who was on a long trip. When I emailed my thanks to her for picking it up, it turned out she didn't even realise that the coin was in a contest! She is only dipping the coin into caches she is finding on the trip (which I think ends soon). And after all, the coin's only visited 59 caches and gone over 800 miles so far . . . Added in edit: Would others be happier if it was specified that it only counts if the coin is put into a cache and stays there until another cacher picks it up?

Finding all the Caches in your immediate area
Bunya replied to 5 Golden Rings's topic in General geocaching topics
There are 12 caches within a 16km (10mile) radius of my home, four of which are mine. And yes, I have found the other eight. Over 1000!! - goes off muttering . . . -
There is this one. There was a Breast Cancer Ribbon geocoin late last year. And I think the Team S&B coin included a donation to research. And there may have been others . . .

Just had mine delivered! It’s great to have them in hand – I can’t see how anyone will be game to release these beauties. This whole exercise has been a great example of communication – the pictures and keeping us up-to-date with production and shipping has been perfect. Thanks for producing a very special set of coins.

Bunya's Bad Andy Geocoin has done a modest 29507km (18334mi) and appears to be still alive.

Muggles can't be expected to put caches back properly. It's when GEOCACHERS don't put caches back where they found them and hidden the way they found them that I get MAD!

Oh dear - I sent an email - that's blown my chances. I hadn't read this far back . . . Just as well FSM is the paragon of forgiveness . .

I'm grabbing with both hands . . . er, how?

LPC? Translation please (assuming it is family-friendly). Sorry - should have tried geolex first - Lamp Post Cache - mercifully rare in Oz.

The original Olympic Games in ancient Greece were limited to men, who competed in the nude. So does that mean if geocaching is a true (olympic) sport, Nudecacher is the only true geocacher?

And the other side of the Pacific. Just recently I saw a forum posting by an American that referred to “gobs of people”. I was taken aback by this, until I found out that “gobs” means “a lot of” to the person posting. In Australia a “gob” is *ahem* a lump of phlegm, if you see what I mean. Now that IS an offensive remark!

What about the FSM** version? ** Fabricated Sheet Metal
