  1. Many times I have found a cache in an area we would like to explore, then cut and paste the the Waypoint Name or coords into a new PQ page as a centerpoint.

A simple link on the cache page that would create a new PQ with that cache as a center point would be handy for us lazy folks....maybe it's already there?

    anyway....Happy New Year!

If you open the google maps page where you can see all the caches around. if you click on the one you want as the center and move the map so that that cache is centered (roughly). Then you can click the create pocket query link on the right and the center of the map (the cache you like) will automatically be put as the central coordinates.

  2. I have the same issue, the only thing i can find to make it work is that once you close the program this error starts. What I do is I have the original installation file saved on my desktop and I just re-install it each time I use it. Doing this works fine (although a little annoying) as long as the program is running, once you close the program you will have to re-install it. Re-installing DOES NOT erase the old data so you will not lose the channels that you already have.

  3. Hi there, have swoped to Firefox to qsk the question... IE lasts about 15 mins then crashes... no response at all, tried quitting and rebooting... no success. Any helpwelcome. MaxKim

    Keep using Firefox :)

Is that the sluggish browser with the naff orange logo <_<

DO NOT upgrade to IE 8. It caused so many problems.

I use Google Chrome browser and LOVE IT!

  4. The TB1BPC7 is not the number needed to retrieve or move the trackable. It is the reference number that is publicly available. Since the OP already dropped the trackable in the cache they will no longer see the trackable in the list at the bottom of the page when logging a cache or writing a note.

Ok, that number does work for writing a note, I did not realize that a different number was needed for retrieve/drop

  5. Hope you hear back from the owner. I have done a similar sort of thing a couple of times and the owners have responded. If you don't hear back from the owner by tomorrow I would suggest posting a note on the "wrong" cache and on the bug page that the travel bug isn't there, just so cachers don't go looking for it. I would also post a note on the "right" cache asking for whoever picks up the bug to contact you and provide the tracking number so you can fix the location.

Worst case, someone picks up the bug and grabs it from the "wrong" cache. Good that you are trying to fix the error but it is a small matter in the grand sceme of things.

If you are talking about the navy geocoin than it shows up for me as: TB1BPC7

I tested the number and it does work so you can go retrieve and then place correctly

Just so everyone knows you can see the tracking number by looking at the tab at the bottom of your screen (the ones used to switch windows)
