I don't believe that. They are going to do what they feel is best for them. I have said it before and I'll say it again: I can't figure out which is worse -- that they don't care, or that they don't care that they don't care.

New NM/NA system - can I still filter out caches with NMs?
frinklabs replied to L0ne.R's topic in General geocaching topics
[FEATURE] Cache maintenance "stars" Then you could filter out degrees of questionable caches. -
Rather than select from a pick list of possible maintenance issues, this system could also be brought in line with the difficulty and terrain ratings? User logs could select from a one to five rating of how badly the cache needs maintenance, with one "star" being something like a full log; maybe five "stars" indicating the cache is now a habitat for a range of organisms, feeding off the pulp that was a log?

Looking for a large multi-cache in Canada

It's also archived, so I'm guessing audits are not an issue. Another upside of letting my membership lapse -- I never have to worry about audit logs. Interesting that it only showed me the you-aren't-PMO screen without telling me it was archived. Just curious -- why was it archived? -

http://coord.info/GC4ZW3A Edit to add: it is PMO - don't click there if you are flying under the audit radar. -
[FEATURE] Ability to turn off 'visited' option for owned Tbs/Coins Please stop automatic "took it to" logs Why Auto-Visit? Optional "took-it-to"-Logs Deleting pages of visit logs on owned trackables New idea: disable 'took it too.....' Filter out a trackables visited logs Blocking took-logs for trackables TB log enhancement

I let my PMO lapse (again and intentionally) and received the aforementioned offer. Which I declined. In fact, I would not pay one cent for a membership as I don't feel that my expectations have been met in regards to a service for which I pay. I've been patient over the years but all the progress I have seen has not been in a direction I can support. It is probably fair to say the tipping point was the app. Unfortunately this is affecting the local community (fractionally) in that I am also actively archiving my hides wherever possible. I feel like a goof, like I am being taken advantage of, by creating and maintaining content of a quality that is not reflected in the service that hosts it.

Switching back to my old handheld

I am back to the yellow eTrex with which I started. The new and improved app is useless to me, as a basic member. -

I wonder if this is how they are closing the loophole that is/was allowing a CO to set a so-called never needs maintenance attribute? "Doesn't need maintenance" attribute

Ignore all caches of one owner [GC.com] My idea of some nice(?) enhancements Is there a way to "Ignore" all of a Cache Owner's caches? Edit to add: these don't include all the requests to enhance PQs for user exclusion. -

This is a good idea. It could be implemented at the same time as notifications of photo uploads: Photo Posted on Log Notification Feature Request For E-mail On Cache Logs Photo Upload Notification Notify Cache Owner When Pictures Are Posted New Feature Picture Notifications Picture Notification Requested Feature: Posted Photo Notification Feature Request: Photo upload notification SUBMITTED (25070) - [FEATURE] Email notification of gallery uploads notification for when a photo is uploaded Notice of Pictures notification when photos uploaded to cache page Picture in log notification Photo in log Notification Notifications about user photos [suggestion] Adding photos in mail notifications -
Thanks thebruce0 for the URL construction instructions. After generating a bookmark list of what I have left to find, I was pleased to discover that I won't have to leave the country to finish this one. I also encountered an eligible cache whose D was altered and I'd like to confirm its rating for the purposes of this challenge. GC1498V Rocky hike, Scenic Drive. -- I have it logged as D1.5/T4.5 but it now shows 2.5/4.5

[FEATURE] Include D/T rating in Found It log -
Good to know! Are you actively working on this challenge? I bet you are far closer than I am (I'm only just over half way, but I just got started focusing on it). As actively as one without a vehicle can be working on a challenge like this. With only 18 to go the opportunities for me to find the farther-flung eligible caches are few. It has been almost two years since I have logged a qualifying cache. This challenge has its own tab on my stats page. Sadly, I am told that I will have to leave the country if I want to complete this, due to attrition of eligible caches. Meanwhile, the closest feasible one for me is Bushwacker, something I would consider trying in the winter -- it looks awesome. I have a whole bunch more I could write about this cache but I am saving it for my found log. Someday. EDIT: Spelling

[FEATURE] Include D/T rating in Found It log -
Below is a post in the Changing a date on a historic cache (GC2DBE) thread. Bumping this thread to suggest an enhancement to the feature that could snapshot all the cache's data at the time the log is posted, not just D/T

Changing a date on a historic cache (GC2DBE)
frinklabs replied to Team Hugs's topic in General geocaching topics
These incidences can also be precipitated by a change to the difficulty or terrain. Here were two suggestions that might have mitigated that: [FEATURE] Altering D/T as a log type [FEATURE] Include D/T rating in Found It log Should I bother suggesting these? [FEATURE] Altering placed date as a log type [FEATURE] Include temporal cache data snapshot in Found It log (the latter could also include other alterable things like Attributes)
