  1. Here are couple of my favorites: beyond the wildlife habitat Geocache Neither are 5 star terrains by any stretch of the imagination, but are both challenging.
  2. Great idea! I always forget about the other stuff going on associated with the festival. Why not add some geocaching to the mix? Dont forget: The "mini" Event II
  3. I made a trip up there for a BoB run a few weeks ago. Upon arrival they were suddenly all disabled with a note saying any logs would be deleted.
  4. My experinece: Veteran's Day Cache (Traditional Cache) Actually I just completed the trifecta the other day... As a diclaimer, I have never found beer or porn in a cache. All of these were found in seperate "stashes" that just happened to be close proximity to a cache (within 20'). Proud to practice CITO in these cases.
  5. A shape coin for IndiGO eh?
  6. I would suggest that you take orders on http://www.indianageocaching.com/ as opposed to these forums
  7. YAHOO!!! So these updates must be done manually? What kind of schedule do you shoot for? Keep up the great work!
  8. Call me crazy...but before questioning guidelines and complaining on the forums, wouldnt it behoove one to use that little "send message" button and contact their local reviewer about the situation? I can only speak for my experience with my local reviewer, but he has bent over backwards to help me out with various situations. You might just find that your local reviewer is an OK guy afterall.
  9. My last checked cache was on August 17th. It would be nice to know how the system is intended to work. I would hope we would all appreciate what a burden these udates are to the overall system.
  10. While we are on this topic... What is the "typical" timing scheme for Groundspeak "updating" the user found/placed caches? I ask because it feels like mine has not been updated in a VERY long time. Is this my imagination or is the schedule somewhat hap-hazard? This is not a complaint...just an observation. I am curious as to how this is supposed to work. btw: I simply export dbf files from gsak then bring that point data into ArcView (for the minority of those who have access to that software) to create my own custom mapping.
  11. I live in Hendricks County and would recommend the following: In McCloud Nature Park (North Salem): Mc Cloud Nature Park, pinnacle Cache by Cache Commando (GCM4GT) 5-Star in McCloud Nature Park by The Omega Group (GCJNNB) Gazebo Trail Cache by Cache Commando (GCP7KH) In Blanton Woods (Danville): Home Made Cache in Blanton Woods by Cache Commando (GCGMPG) 2-4-1 by Team Murray (GCTB87) Wrong Color in Blanton Woods. by Cache Commando (GCGMPN) Little Blanton Woods Cache by Cache Commando (GCGMPE) For Tree Hugger's in Blanton Woods Cache by Cache Commando (GCVMXT) See my bookmark for Indiana Vandala Trail Caches (Coatesville to Amo) There are ISQ caches all over Hendricks County, Great Caching aslo in Plainfield, Brownsburg and Avon. Pick your poison: Hendricks County Indiana Let me know if I can be of further assitance (this is enough to keep you busy for several days).
  12. Wait a tick... 8,000 finds is a bit high for me. Let's try 700 instead. Thanks Lead Dog!
  13. I made that trip last year and was fortunate enough to get some GREAT advice from DHobby1 and Cachew Nuts. These two caches alone will make your trip worthwile! Bloomington Overlook Temple Quarry If you do Temple Quarry follow the signs to the St. George Municipal Airport rather than your GPS. The trail begins in the parking lot. Have a GREAT trip!

    Pcc '06!

This was my second PCC and again it was a first class event. I am looking forward to attending a third next year. Thanks for all of your hard work! Bret - orange might just be your color.
  15. Whoa…I did not realize that this was even being discussed let along having dates and location finalized! It looks like we missed the boat. There are some of us who would really like see one of the picnics held in the central part of the state someday. In the battle for geocaching supremacy between northern and southern Indiana, us central Indiana folk tend to be overlooked. We have some great properties (and great caching opportunities), particularly to the east and west sides of Indiana. Now that the spring 07 picnic has been spoken for, I guess we could try for the Fall 07 picnic. Who makes the decision as to where these picnics are held? Where are they discussed? We do not want to miss the boat again.
  16. oooohhhh...let us know where when your plans are finalized. I am in the Indy area and would not pass up an opportunity to cache with a couple of NJ guys. Lets go!

    Virtual TB?

Your terminology is probably causing some temporary heartburn, the concept appears to be sound. I like the idea.
  18. That is funny...mine says Indy Diver. Looks like you have a very rare and valuable error!
  19. That is an abmitious goal to say the least. If one were to start early and end late, it could probably be done. If you plan on doing this over the weekend, you have chosen wisely given the prediction of cool and overcast conditions. Good Luck!
  20. From the coords given for Brookville Res., you might be in for a swim. This looks like it will be alot of fun. Thanks for putting this together.
  21. Fall Into Geocaching by Wolverine Warriors
  22. At a minimum I will bring mine to PCC next weekend. Will see if I cannot find one for you to keep in the meantime.
