Hi all! I am planning a little trip for my wife and I to the Buffalo / Niagara Falls area for December 20-23. I was looking for some suggestions: 1. Lodging: any suggestions on a good cabin rental or bed and breakfast to stay at? We would like something a little secluded. 2. Activities: We are planning on hitting Niagara Falls one day, other than that, our schedule is open. We would like to do a little bit of offroading (nothing to drastic- we will be in my wife jeep liberty with all terrain tires) and of course some geocaching. Any suggestions for an area where we can do both some offroading and caching? Any must do Niagara Falls caches? Any input is greatly appreciated! 3. Weather: For you locals, how much, if any, snow can we expect to see? Thanks so much!! Clint

I have not done any of the caches in that area, but if you have time for a little day trip, the caches around Ohioplye (15470) are top notch.

I have a Garmin Etrex Legend and I am very happy with it. I have more than enough waypoint storage and it is fairly easy to use. I have used it in conjuction with Topo! software and it works well. The Legend is WAAS enabled and can be accurate up to like 9 feet, but it will use the batteries a little bit more.

Hi All A couple of weeks ago I dropped my GPSr and scratched the display face... it is not bad, just more frustating than anything else. Does anyone have a suggestion for a way to remove the scratches? Thanks!

no prob- it is looking like I should probably work late anyway. I am heading back home (Pittsburgh) tomorrow so tonight is the only night I have. I should be back in January-- mmm snow night caching... :-) Thanks anyways! Any other takers- in case I can make it out?

The time will have to be late. I will be working until at least 6:30 or 7. I will need to go back to the hotel and change. I will also need to stop by the walmart and pickup a new flashlight. I left mine at home... I have my headlamp, but a little extra light will definatley help. So I am guessing 8ish... Ever night cache before? I did for the first time last week here in St Marys. It was a fun time, but will definatley be better with someone else...
