  1. Congratulations Kinkykimbo! I take it you will be at the front of the line to do them all again at COC House of Boo
  2. Afternoon Geocampers!! Davy Boy has advised that some of the Underworld Series have limited parking spaces, therefore it would make sense for people to share cars (if there is a large numbers of cachers hoping to attempt the Underworld Series at the same time during Carry On Camping 2007). So if you are thinking of attempting these caches over this weekend - do you have any preference of day (we were thinking of suggesting the Saturday), also how many people will there be? Jo Asker of many questions!! House of Boo
  3. We stayed at a fantastic campsite last September - Cronk Aashen Farm International Campsite. Glynne and Eddie (who run it) are the nicest campsite owners you can ever meet - and they made us feel completely at home (playing with Boo and giving us veg out of the garden to eat!). We hope to go back to the Isle of Man and will be booking there again! House of Boo
  4. So thats next year's Carry On Abroad event sorted then.....
  5. Only 1 left - as we have just taken number 149!! House of Boo
  6. Yes it's another HofB event and not a tent in sight! This time we are holding an event in Amsterdam, in September in a Pancake Bakery!! Full details can be found:- Carry On Abroad 2007 We know its more than 3 months away - but we thought if people from the UK wished to attend they may need a bit more notice so they can book flights and hotels!! House of Boo
  7. Hello! We are thinking of holding an event in Amsterdam in September of this year and wondered if any local cachers could recommend a good place to hold this event. Thank you!! House of Boo
  8. Congrats to our co-conspirator of this years Carry On Camping event! We'll get you a pint in when next we meet! House Of Boo
  9. Congratulations!!!! Cant wait to see you at COC '07!! House of Boo
  10. Way to be original that man !!! Carry On Camping 2007 Event cache ring any bells? lol
  11. Afternoon Geocampers / landlumbers Really cheeky question for you all - does anyone have a BBQ they can bring with them for the Saturday night?? The pub do have a BBQ - but they have warned me it is rusty and other people are likely to be using it! House of Boo
  12. Just to let everyone know the event page has now been updated with the full information about this years event! So prices and campsite information is there for everyone to see! House of Boo
  13. Sorry Rutson!!! We have move around the country so far, our first being in the Lake District and last year in Derbyshire. I'm sure we will work our way up the map again!!
  14. The page is up - let the fun begin!!! Carry on Camping 2007 Later this evening a more comprehensive description of the event will be added to the page!!!
  15. Great coin! We have ordered one - as we loved the Isle of Man when we visited last year! House of Boo
  16. OK here we go... To be fair I dont think the Cryptik Souls Crew is looking for a witch hunt or would want anyone to be ripped apart by a geocaching "angry mob", I do think that he is a concerned geocacher/parent who is trying to deduce whether his concerns are solitary or whether other cachers feel as he does. On the flipside of putting people off with this type of thread, would it be better for new geocampers to attend events and then hear the "gossip" only to feel out of place and awkward at geocamping events due to this kind of hearsay.. most probably not! We would hate for camping events to take a nosedive due to any kind of inappropriate behaviour as we expect to see a bloody good turn out at our Carry On Camping 2007 event, but maybe some things have to be talked about rationally so we can all understand where the boundries are (if there are any boundries at all). House Of Boo
  17. Not a blatant bump despite what you may think.... Just to confirm (despite some geo-chat based rumours) that the third Carry On Camping event - 2007 will DEFINITELY be on!!!!! It will be held on Friday the 8th of June to Sunday the 10th, it will be in Devon, it will be the same brand of anarchic camping event that we strive to preserve on an annual basis and it will be organised in the usual slap dash HofB fashion!!! So before rumours obscure the truth, spread the word fellow geocampers and... Pray for sunshine House Of Boo
  18. Loving it! Loving it! Loving it! Yet again Steven Elphberg has pulled out all the stops with a story of love, loss and people who should really know better at their age! Nice to know that Boo will still leave her bloody toy peg next to me waiting for me to throw it even if i have been hacked to death by a tin foiled headed knight.. ah well, at least shes consistent! Heres to the next episode of geocaching hi-jinks! MERRY CHRISTMAS! House Of Boo
  19. Despite the fact that they are on the other side of the geocaching globe and have no internet connection they have got in contact with us so we can pass on the following message: MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL OF THE UK GEOCACHERS! At the moment they have no email facilities, but as soon as they get their technology up to scratch they will be back in contact with all of their friends in the UK. House Of Boo PS - Merry Christmas everyone and may all your caching adventures be happy ones!
  20. If the Elphster is in then you can add me onto the crazy list (Peter Boo). Im loving the idea of jelly legs continuing over a three day period and will try anything to get a day off work due to physical injuries! Yarrrrr *for effect* House Of Boo
  21. We've just realised that we should've said a bit more than what date the event was on... This coming years C.O.C.07 event will be down by our south coast geocaching brothers & sisters in Devon! YAY! The main reason for this (other than the original intent for the Carry On Camping events - which was to bring far flung cachers together in a location they might not be used to) is that we intend to take on the "Underworld" series in the same way that we took on the Quest for the Ring in the Lake District. Although this is just one idea for spending our time there and we've been assured by Stuey and other unbiased veteran cachers that Devon has the best caches in the Country (ooh! contreversial ). So it'll hopefully be a good time whether you want to do a drive-by, get stuck in a hole or just sit by a campfire and share some stories about the best cache in the world and have a laugh! House Of Boo
  22. Hello all UK Geocachers, Seeing that the rush for weekend placements for Caching events has already started we thought we'd better make sure we make it public knowledge that the COC'07 event will take place on the 8th,9th & 10th of June (same dates as the previous 2 years) 2007. We know that it seems a bit "German Towels" but it would be a shame to miss what in the HofB calendar is an increasingly crazy and much loved tradition! For all the mentalists who've been before and to the ones who think that they might attend remember just one thing... PRAY FOR SUN, PEOPLE, PRAY FOR SUN! House Of Boo
  23. Picture no. 6 is a rather bad photo of, your friend and mine, Beds Clanger ( i think...?)
