  1. A similar thing happened to me too. I was out hunting a newly approved cache hoping to be FTF when I spotted an ammo box about 40 feet away from posted coords and slightly exposed. Turns out I had found the final stage of a tricky puzzle cache. I signed the log and continued hunting the new cache. I found it about 30 minutes later, not more than 30 feet from the puzzle cache. After the confusion was worked out the new cache being so close to this other one had to be archived. First time anything like that has happened to me.

  2. Today I recieved an email from my reviewer asking me to archive my 2 graveyard caches. Not being one to cause drama, I have regretfully done so. It seems the reviewer has asked that all graveyard caches in S.C. be archived.

I'm sorry I missed the meeting today. I injured my shoulder while snowboarding and I was at the Orthopedist getting x-rays.

I'm anxious to find out what all was said. Hopefully all of this is temporary and our caches can be restored in the near future.

  3. Cemeteries are often very beautiful and full of history. As long as you are respectful and tread lightly I see no problem. In SC, we have a series of cemetery micro caches called "Kick the Bucket" They have been very popular and we've had no problems getting them approved.

  4. I'm terrible at solving puzzle caches. It takes me weeks to solve even a simple one. By that time I've banged all the keys off my keyboard.

I looked at "Olives are Good" and frankly I have no idea where to begin on that one. It's just a big olive square. Try a google search on picture or color puzzles. Email the cache owner or someone who has figured out the puzzle already they might give you a subtle hint. It's been my experience that I tend to make things more dificult than necessary. It's probably something really simple and maybe you just need to think outside that olive square.

I could be completely wrong too.

  5. Too small in my opinon are those tiny magnetic buttons about the size of a pinky fingernail. They have a top and bottom that screw together.

The log is difficult to remove, even harder to sign because it's so tiny, and almost impossible to put back.

I've seen these stuck to the back of stop signs in plain view of anyone walking by. Unless you're a geocacher you wouldn't notice.

  6. I guess my next question should be: If I make the Terrain rating a serious 5 and someone dies, how liable am I for their death?

I saw an excellent disclaimer on here recently. I think it's the disclaimer for "Tube Torcher". You might consider adding something similiar to your cache page.

  7. I would like to thank Russell for being specific about his price range, preference for Garmins, and what he plans to use the GPS for. He seems to have done some research already.

Most people just post the question as "Which GPS should I buy?" Yeah okay which car should I buy?

  8. Trying to figure out how to edit/add the information on my contact card. You know the button that is displyed under your name name along with the PM and email buttons?

I've looked in "my control panel" and under "my assistant" but don't see nuthin'.

  9. Can you clarify the team caching concept?

I see it as 2 ways. One way is several cachers meet up to hunt a cache and each one logs it as a find. So cacher A, B, C, and D all get credit.

The other way is a whole family hunts a cache but only logs it one time like "Team Smith Family" was here.

If no one has a WG dollar to trade they could just sign the log right?

  10. Remove the mailbox from it's current location. Take it out to some private land in the middle of nowhere. Paint the Mailbox camoflauge and make the entire box the cache container. Name your cache something cool like "Speedy Delivery" or something.

Seriously folks. BAD IDEA! Nuff said.
