  1. They keep bringing up extra ammendments to be debated. They're on ammendment #3 for the casino boat bill. No telling when lunch will be.
  2. The Legislative session is broadcast live on the South Carolina Channel. This channel is being carried by Time Warner Cable in South Carolina. You can only see it if you subscribe to the digital cable package. Direct TV or Dish network will not receive this broadcast. The streaming video seems to be working pretty well and that's how many people are watching.
  3. Here is the House calendar backdated for the entire session. http://www.scstatehouse.net/hcal/houcal.htm
  4. They're on page 13 of the calendar. House Bill 3604 is currently being debated. Our geocaching bill 3777 is #7 in line after this.

  6. They will return at 2PM after the joint assembly and run the contested calendar.
  7. El Diablo makes custom hiking staffs for geocachers. I bought my Whistle Creek hiking staff at a hardware store for about 20 dollars.
  8. 28 year old single male seeks single female for caching adventure and maybe more. Have GPS will travel. Serious inquiries only, please. Whoops! Wrong message board.
  9. Is this really true? I had not heard that before and find it very upsetting.
  10. Yes, I agree. Signing the log book is more important than logging the find on the website. It gives proof positive that you were ther and found the container. I've seen log entries where the person wrote something like "We know where the container is hidden, but could not get to it." They logged it online as a find. I know a cacher who kayaked several miles out to an island on the lake. When he got to the micro, he realized he had no pen. Being determined to sign the logbook he found a nearby campsite with some charred wood from a recent fire. He used the burnt stick to sign his initials and date it.
  11. How does the South Carolina Geocachers Association get invited? I would be interested to watch any debates.
  12. Is the public allowed to go sit in the audience? I see people sitting up above observing.
  13. It's like an ATM but instead of spitting out money it spits out micros, McDonalds toys, log books, geocoins, Mardi Gras beads, golf balls, travel bugs...you get the idea.
  14. This information seems a bit more up to date. http://www.scstatehouse.net/sess116_2005-2006/bills/3777.htm
  15. Okay confession time. I have no idea who my House or Senate representatives are in SC. I don't know which district I live in either. Now seems like a perfect time for a Civics lesson. Once I figure all this out I will write a letter expressing my concerns. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
  16. That's impressive! I would have marked that cache as MIA. Just remember swamp water equals freshwater right? How does ammo can hold up to salt water? I've never tried it...
  17. You're asking about comparing a Pelican case to an ammo box. Everything I've read in these forums tends to indicate any cache underwater for long periods will end up getting wet. Here are 2 other types of containers that may hold up underwater. Some cachers find products like these too expensive. I have not tested these so I cannot vouch. Aquapac Otter Box
  18. No writers name and they reference the wrong bill near the top of the article.
  19. Don't worry about it. Two of my caches (logs and photos) were mentioned.
  20. I have a fetish for office supplies and camping accessories. They had to lock the cabinet at work.
  21. The entire inside of an old SUV parked on the owners private property. There is a picture posted in this thread
  22. What size did you have in mind? Tupperware, Gladware, and Rubbermaid make clear containers.
