  1. hihihihi CONGARTS Li-Z that you was a sweet girl no trip to spain with SINTERKLAAS have a good SINTERKLAAS evening......... Thanks Lorca! A good Sinterklaasevening to you to! We're celebrating Sinterklaas tomorrow so I still have some rhymes to make for everyone. But I don't feel really inspired to start writing so I'm reading the forum instead....
  2. This week I recieved 3 coins I bought from Crowesfeat30. And today, Sinterklaas (Millieballon in this case) stopped by my house to drop a Purrfect Cat geocoin in my mailbox!!!! And also a pathtag with Sina, Millieballon's Icelandic Horse. It looks great! Thank you Millieballon
  3. He's George the Guinea Pig, my first TB. I just sent him travelling a week ago :-) Today I received my second mission! (pet mission) In a nice box covered with kitty-stickers. Thanks Mayonaka I'm sure they will love whatever is inside the box, but i'm going to wait a bit longer with opening the packages. This weekend we celebrate 'Sinterklaas' in the Netherlands and after that I will get a christmas tree and open the two missions.
  4. Great idea! I cannot share any artwork/coin pictures because I haven't made any coins yet. But it's very interesting to see the process from first sketch to final coin! Thanks everyone for sharing your sketches/ mint artwork. I'm sure all the information will help others with designing their owm coins.
  5. I love these golden nuggets in their velvet pouch!! I ordered some to let them travel. With these coins in a cache, it will really be like finding a treasure!
  6. Candy cane, Bells and Holly and I think the middle picture is a christmas angel upside down!
  7. We're expecting another 20-30 cm tonight (ick...) but it will probably melt before christmas. Caching in winter depends on the cache. Some are snow friendly (ie. hanging in a tree) but others have to wait until spring. Caching in the snow sometimes feels like cheating thought becuase you can see where the person who was there before you went! 20-30 cm, that's a lot of snow! Never thought about the footsteps. We haven't cached in the snow yet. But I'm sure we'll find out ourselves this winter and may be have a few easy finds because of traces in the snow ;-)
  8. I'm so relieved that one of my missions arrived safely!!!! You never know with customs. Wow, you've got snow already! That must help to get into the christmas spirit :-) We've only got wet snow, hailstones and lots of wind this weekend in the Netherlands ..... I was wondering, can you go caching through the winter in Canada? If we get snow during winter here, it's usually only a tiny layer, so caching wouldn't be a problem. But I guess you must be getting a bit more snowfall!
  9. Wish I had seen this earlier! E-mail sent and hoping

    Unity Geocoin

Very nice coin! Especially the side with the dragon and the phoenix look fantastic. And thanks for the story behind it. Fantasties and I have been travelling in China in 2007 and spent a week in Chengdu. We loved our stay there and not just because of the pandas. It's a great city!
  11. You've got a PM in your mail! Haha, my guess about the secret Santa wasn't right after all Thanks for the package Hollora!
  12. That's a good idea, I wish I had thought of that!

  14. I just had exactly the same experience at my local postoffice: explaining what the costs should be, what zone the destinations country was in and that a customs declaration was neccesary... But I'm sure evereything will arrive eventually!
  15. To keep myself from opening the Santa Mission I received, I decided to start making my own two missions ready for sending. It took me quite a while to pack everything, so I hope customs won't open it ;-) Anyway, this was the result: Mission 1 ready to be sent Mission 2 ready to be sent as well http://img.geocaching.com/user/9afbc39d-db...628cbf636c3.jpg I took them to the postoffice this afternoon and send them with priority post. So I guess the receivers will get the missions early and will have a hard time waiting to open as well! Of course you can always spread it: open one little package every 3 or 4 days untill Christmas Or just open it straight away off course, that's up to you! But who will be the receivers of these missions????
  16. I received my santa's Mission!!!!!!! All the way from Maine, USA. It is going to be so difficult to wait untill Christmas before opening the package! One of my cats, Mizuki, was curious as well: she tried to open the package with her teeth! Had to tell her that this was not the pet's mission yet... In an attempt not to think about opening the package I started searching this thread to find out who my 'secret' Santa could be. I could find only one name from Maine with a 'package sent' update, so I think the Maine family would be a good guess If I'm right: thank you for the christmassy looking box! (still haven't opened it and trying to wait...)
  17. My Honu coin arrived with the mail this morning and I love them! I was planning to release it to travel to other oceans, but I think I will keep them to admire for a while first
  18. Wow, these coins look great! Had to order one Mystical Phoenix
  19. Mission 1: Li-Z (myself) 1. Participating: E-mail sent 2. Received Name: YES! 3. Mission Complete: 4. Package Received!: Mission 2: Zappa & Mizuki (our two cats) 1. Participating: E-mail sent 2. Received Name: YES! 3. Mission Complete: 4. Package Received!: I received names for both missions and am very excited that I have two different countries to send a mission to :-) Now I can go shoppping! Thank you for organizing Buuterfly-lady! It must have been a lot of work matching missions and sending out all those e-mails.
  20. yes...we will have about 14 more ghost coins left when they get here! also 10 gold brick coins and 10 copper brick coins. Wow, I really like this coin! Hope it is still possible to order, I'd like to buy 2 of them! I've send you a message with my contact info. Li-Z
