  1. Oh well thanks then Does this mean you forgive me about the bad idea and all?
  2. I don't really see how it could be illegal as long as it's payed for. If people started burning CDs then it might be bad, but it'd really be no different then lending the CD to a friend. Edit: Oh and yeah, I think the idea could catch on, just make sure the CDs stay dry.
  3. Because I'm also trying to get ideas for hiding them, if it bugs you so much why don't you just leave. And I said at least I didn't bash back at you. Gah....just, please, let it go. If you don't have any ideas than don't post back trying to win over. It was a stupid idea, sorry for posting it, I didn't know it was such a problem. There you go. Now arguing back isn't going to get you anywhere so buh-bye.
  4. Alas, you just can NOT let it go. I said just forget about it, as I was tired as heck and I posted this the SECOND I thought of it. In other words, I didn't have too much time to think about it. So please excuse my ignorance and move back to the main idea. At least I didn't come bashing back at you.
  5. Jeez, some of you people need to take a chill pill. For one thing, I wasn't even totally decided on placing them anyway. As a matter of fact, the thought had just crossed my mind while reading and I posted it about 10 seconds after. Sorry if I completely destroyed your lives by posting an unconfirmed decision. Good god. Thanks to those of you who weren't total jerks though, but let's forget anything I said about me placing them or whatnot. Back to the main topic idea... Oh and btw did you ever consider the fact that maybe the reason I don't have 500+ caches found is because I've been buried in 2 feet of snow for the past 10 weeks?
  6. Yeah, whoever's placing caches in parking lots, please stop
  7. Hi once again from a bored cacher. Anyways, straight to the point: Soon I'll be taking a trip to Mammoth Caves Natl. Park and we'll be stopping at plenty of spots along the way. I'm planning on taking at least 10 caches to hide so I was wondering; What's make up a good hiding spot? We all know the general stuff (location, view, and coverage) but what are things you look for when hiding a cache? Also, I'm all ears for good containers. Edit: Forgot to mention, this weekend we'll be introducing some friends to caching, so here's hope they'll like it! Better tell them to brace for the addiction...
  8. I've been afraid to bike ever since this incident
  9. I'd only do one if it's on a holiday and the store's closed or something, it'd be pretty weird to see someone open up a street light panel, take out a notebook, leave a note, and then hide it again...People might think you're in the Illuminati or something Not like I am in it... >_> *runs* Edit: typo
  10. Cool I'll probably head to a store this weekend to get one while we're out to visit the new addition to the Air & Space musuem. I just hope the weather comes to our side when the 29th comes up...
  11. Wow, I'll have to bookmark that page...thanks What do you guys think about this Camelbak? I have $45 worth in gift cards so it'll be relatively cheap.
  12. Since I won't be caching for awhile (unless it starts to warm up for the weekend...even then there's still a lot of snow on the ground) I feel like putting together a pack or bookbag I can use specifically for caching. I just want to know: What are some things you suggest I put in/add to it? I'm heading to an EMS this weekend to buy myself a camelback (had one but it's dissapeared), so water bottles aren't needed unless I'm doing a multi-cache in the mid-summer. I already have a really nice compass that should help when I'm narrowing in on the cache, I'll put together a small bag or container full of trash bags, and I have a mini flashlight to put in it as well. I'll think of other ideas but I just want to know some nice things to put in. I'm also reserving a section to place trade items in, too.
  13. LOL.....that wouldn't work too well for the younger kids... "What's the page say next Tommy?" "It's says go shoot his ex-wife...?" "What'd you say young man? No caching for a week!" "But Pa!" "No buts!" Yeah that's lazyboy, trying to destroy the next generation's childhood...
  14. Yeah I know, that's one of the major flaws in it.
  15. Just something I was thinking of, has anyone ever done any timed caches? Like, after like a week you take it down? It could work out like: It'd contain trade items that would make people want to get out there and find it fast, like mapsource cds and *nice* GPS cases, and maybe an Ion Cross Pen (woo!). You'd only have to leave it up for a week or so, so you'd get a lot of finds really quickly. And who knows, someone might have their FF there and they'd have a good start in their caching career. Of course this would almost HAVE to have it's own category as it'd make the reviewers pretty mad to look over a cache and then bam it's gone in a few days. Just posting this for your thoughts...if it gets good responses I might start one.
  16. Well that's why I said OVER 5 I know some people do like, 10-20 a day when in groups, but when it's winter time, and the days get darker in a shorter amount of time, I'd be surprised to see more than ten a day.
  17. http://www.texasgeocaching.com/selector.asp It's pretty neat to use on your placed caches. Just thought I'd make a note...
  18. Alright but for those of us that have no idea what to do at all, PLEASE EXPLAIN!
  19. From here (MD), we're going on a straight path to Kentucky, obviously stopping in each state along the way at least once, and plan to do as much caching as possible. This however means needing access to a computer. We SHOULD be able to bring my sister's laptop, but not sure about getting online (let's hope all the hotels have internet access). We're going mainly to see Mammoth Caves National Park, so maybe we'll hide one around that area. Can't wait
  20. Meh....Trust me I'd love to be able to walk there or bike there or whatever, but the thing is I'd be crossing over about 5 REALLY busy roads. I wouldn't be allowed... Oh well, I guess I can put together a geo-pack.
