  1. also sent off an e-mail but didn't hear anything back.

It was an invitation only some people got, with absolutly no details given, therefore she can't tell anything other then that she is looking to carpool. And since when is looking for a carpool for a geocaching related event not apropriate for the local forums.

That said, hydnsek may not have realized that it was probibly not going to include all those who were interested, and that since she is going to be required to sign a NDA that they might not want it brodcasted as to who was in and who was out. And that those that didn't make it might be a little irked to find out that they weren't invited.

Or I could be totally off base here. It is really early to me.

  2. Andrew, I may be picking up my friend from Toronto in Redmond, but even if I don't and you want to go...I could pick you up or meet you at a P&R somewhere...

I will post early Sat if I need a ride or not. If I do the hike I am going to get an early start since it is a long one so I will be up early (to me at least).

  3. I assume I'm not the only lame-o who has a bookmark for their DNFs? WillCall DNFs Anyone interested in putting together a group clean-up of some of our common (or uncommon) trouble spots? Speak up if you're game and we'll organize.

Probably could also just exchange additional hints in here for those someone has found (anyone who can prod me towards Are You Nuts?, Dip One, or MSmicro gets double the free hints from me -- to the extent I know anything

As an additional topic - who has the furthest, nearest ( ) unfound cache from their home coordinates? The nearest cache I haven't found is only 1.7 miles from home (albeit in cache-dense middle Bellevue, mind you). I assume everyone else has done a better job of clearing out their home territory?

Always nice to see people DNFing on ones I have found. Let me know when you get to the redmond area. I live less then .1 miles from MSmicro. And I have this one called Alea jacta est! that I just can't seem to find.

  4. The Ice caves I know about are near Granite Falls. The last time I was up there was in the summer of 98. I was camping with my girlfriend at the time and we hiked up to them. Very impressive. On the way back down we met a family just as we left the boulder field below the caves. About 30 minutes later the mother had died because the lip of ice broke off while she was standing under it.

We heard all the aid cars etc... but didn't find out what happened untill we got home a few days later. Those ice chunks go very quickly. Glad you weren't hurt.

  5. The family has other plans tommorrow. I thought it might work out but I'm stuck with taxi duty.

No problem guys I guess I will be on my own for the drive up there.

I will see those going tomorrow then at the turn off to Baker lake, unless anyone else is interested at the last minute. I will check this before I leave the area tomorrow.

  6. Umm hydnsek, marcus, you two going? I havn't heard anything. My best guess is that it will take 2 hours to get there so I am thinking that we should try to leave the PnR at 7:30.

  7. Hey Cent 5 I think you may have made a slight mistake (for the best reasons) about the two TB's you disqualified.

I think, and could be wrong, that you looked at the date of when the cache was placed not when they found it. The date that they found it is the last column on the profile page.

As much as I would love if my chance of winning went up, I it would really suck if people were disqualified for the wrong reasons.

With that said, if there are other reasons, or if you just want them banned that is fine, you are the one running the contest.

Just thought I would point this out. B)

  8. Now, is there any interest in some Pre-meeting caching like we did in March & May?

Sure I would love to do a run before the meeting. There are even some I havn't gotten yet in redmond, or wherever you want to cache.

  9. If anyone wants to park at my place, message me and I'll give you coords...otherwise I figure we can meet up at the Lewis Street park in Monroe (the parking lot right in front of mohai's Bridging the Sky cache).

Next decision is...what time? I prefer earlier (8-9)...other thoughts?

Hey I know this parking area! :)

I will probibly meet you there. Earlier is definitly better for me.

  10. then why are you watching it?

You could put it in a bookmark list and be able to acess it just as easilybut not be notified when somone logs it.

    Is that what you ment?
