  1. Ah, the memories... Hahahahahaha, oh man, I hadn't thought about, er, uh, "her" in a million years it seems....LOL, LOL. Mac McKinney aka Breaktrack
  2. Mac got a motorcycle and a life. He still lurks and we hear from him locally every now and then. Man, Snoogans, that is about the best way I've seen it put, ever!! LOL. Yeah, I pop in every once in a while. How're YOU doin'? Mac McKinney aka Breaktrack
  3. Hey Snat, figured I'd drop in and let you know that I, at least, am still around, but only visit in the forums on rare instances. Still maintain all my caches that are left, even the virtuals, but haven't been caching a lot since the kiddos went to live with their mom...sigh. Anyway, still alive and kicking, and also missing Divine. He is a good guy. Mac McKinney aka Breaktrack
  4. Who are those guys???? LOL. Mac McKinney aka Breaktrack
  5. Hmmm, well, I"m still around, still alive, and every once in a long while, still caching...lol. I still maintain all my physical caches, those that are left after the "anti-virtual" wars, and "anti-micro" wars, and the, well, you get the point. I check in every once in a while to the forums, but not nearly as much as I used to. I bring up the "How Did You Serve" thread every once in a while so it stays "current" (it's from april of 2003). Other than that, I just maintain my paid membership and wish Jeremy and Geocaching.com nothing but the best. Mac McKinney aka Breaktrack
  6. OUTSTANDING!! Yes, any service is good to list. New service, old service, matters not. Thank you for your continueing service. Take care, Mac
  7. Yup, and my second oldest boy did his six years as a nuc, on board submarines of all things....LOL. As for Orlando, yeah, it is definitely gone. I put up a web page a few years ago when I went there to "visit" before they started tearing everything down, the link to that page is: http://www.miltonmckinney.com/Travel/travel2/ntcorlando.htm and then go to the photos page. Let me know what you think! cptmckinney251@aol.com Thanks, Mac
  8. Hey, are you kidding? It says, "How Did You Serve?", not "How Did You Serve The U. S. Military?". LOL, LOL. All are welcome to list their service. Mac
  9. Yup, military.com has been one of my hangouts for quite some time. Well worth checking out. Thanks, Mac
  10. Items from the Battleship Texas (BB-35) gift shop. We make a trip down to the Texas once in a while to replenish our stock of items from the gift shop to place in caches. One of our early physical caches was a tribute to the Texas, but is now archived as hurricanes wiped away the area it was in. Our Battleship Texas items have been in caches throughout Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, Idaho, and even Utah. Mac
  11. And they just keep coming in. Amazing how many Geocachers are former, or even current military. Salutes to all. Mac
  12. Understandable, seeing what the kids are having to put up with over there today, makes some of the stuff we did seem tame, eh? LOL. Mac
  13. Yup, of which I own several: In Texas, Florida, Wyoming, Colorado, New Mexico and Montana. Ah, the joys of Grandfathering....LOL. And for having been around when you could still create them in multiple states, LOL, LOL. I get questions about that from time to time from cachers who find these virtuals. They don't seem to realize they can look up and see when it was created and find out that it was before the rules were, uh, changed...sigh. Mac
  14. Mine is 106882. I memorized mine for GSAK. Talk about OG!! Mine is 18612. Sigh, that seems so long ago....lol. Mac
  15. Now there are something like 940 pages, and I'm right there with you on page 939. There were some previous to that, but they've been archived...lol. So yes, we're both members of the OG club. Mac
  16. So you base a persons credibility on if they served in the military or not. There are serial killers that have served in the military and there are preachers that haven't. So that makes the serial killer more credible then the preacher? I tried to enlist in 1961 but due to my left arm being messed up in a car accident they wouldn't take me, so in your eyes that makes me less credible? Even though I have never been in I support the military whole heartedly, more so then some of the veterans serving as senators and congressmen in Washington today. You have a right to your opinion, but I would suggest you put a little thought in what you say before you say it. I agree with Breaktrack 100%.The man said nothing about basing credibility as a whole on military service, just giving someone a little more. And I know exactly what he means. Sorry the military wouldn't take you,but you don't have to take it out on this thread or the OP. That's okay, we've had a few folks from time to time that did not agree with what I wrote, oh, what is it now, about four years ago? LOL. But, no offense, they are welcome to their opinion, even if they do not allow me the same leeway. Thanks, Mac McKinney aka Breaktrack
  17. Yeah, people somehow have kind of forgotten we still have troops over in Korea, eh? Thanks for keeping an eye on that part of the world, it still needs it. Mac
  18. One of my favorite things to do, go visit the old Battleships that are now museums. Gotta get to Hawaii to see the U. S. S. Missouri one of these days. Mac
  19. Congrats to you both, it's good to see that happy look on your face Mark, I think you've both made a great choice. Take care, Mac
  20. Yep, it is shallow. I hope when that firefighter(who never serverd in the military) goes in to your burning house to pull your unconcious family member out and saves their life, you'll explain to them why they don't have as much credibilty as that verteran who stood on the curb with the crowd watching your house burn. Well, you can say that if you wish. No slur was intended then, nor now, several years later. As I am still a serving law enforcement officer, and work with firefighters all the time, I have no problem with them, veteran or not. Please take your preaching somewhere else. Thanks, Mac aka Breaktrack My preaching? Hardly. I was just pointing out callous and disrespectful remarks. Also, you were the one who said "call me shallow if you wish". So don't get your knickers in a twist when someone calls you on it. I challenge you to go up to one of those firefighters you work with who isn't a verteran and say, "You aren't a verteran so you're not as credible to me."I know it's been several years, but I didn't revive this thread, someone else bumped it. I was just pointing out people need to think before they speak, unless of course you actually would say that to them. Personally, my respect for people comes from their individual actions, not some label they wear. Whatever pal, I don't think I was the first one getting their "knickers in a twist", as you so quaintly put it. If you wish to take it that way, then feel free to do so. Can I assume (as I know that is not usually the smartest thing to do) that from your response to this thread, you never served in the military? Just asking, seems pertinent to your reaction. But if you did serve, then thank you for your service in advance of your answer. If you did not, then, well, nothing. I was just curious anyway. Thanks, Mac
