Hi- Does anyone know of a way to look for caches along a route you are taking? We are traveling by car from PA to GA and would like to geocache along the way. I thought I saw a how to, but now I can't find it. Thanks Team Grof

Use Mark Waypoint>Save and Edit>Change Location and edit the location of the waypoint to the coordinates you want. GO$Rs THANK YOU, THANK YOU!! This will be a huge help tomorrow.

Hi - I was wondering if anyone out there knew how to put the current location coordinates on the compass screen for the GARMIN OREGON unit? I am flipping back and forth between the satellite screen. Any help would be appreciated.

Can anyone tell me how to add your own coordinates to the 300? Still learning.

I purchased the Oregon 300 a few weeks ago from REI, the touch screen is awesome, but we are having trouble downloading caches from our MAC. Until this is solved the GPS doesn't do me much good as this is the main reason I purchased it. If using for driving, the maps aren't very detailed for the roads. Only main roads show up - and it says something the to effect that maps aren't supported when asking to make a route. We will need to by the map upgrade I suppose. Also, I haven't figured out how to put in street numbers. In addition, I haven't figured out a way to manually enter coordinates - this may occur once I can download successfully. I don't know. Keep in mind I am new to this unit, so there is a bit of a learning curve.

Hi - I am new to this and could use some advice. I am trying to download geocaches to my Oregon 300 following instuctions in manual and from site. Using Safari, popup says 'file is downloaded successfully' but yet it doesn't show up on my GPS. Thoughts? PS not a techy, so please use small words! Thanks Grof
