  3. By being a premium members you can do pocket quires and get up to 500 caches sent to you e-mail and you can filter the quires to you liking..then all you have to do is drag and drop then in you GPX folder and run your poi to load them on you GPS.. then when you driving around they will show up on your GPS map screen as small green boxes after you fine one and log it on your GPS the box will show open..really cool GPS I love mine

  4. I had a gpsV and have upgraded to a Garmin Nuvi 500. So far a lot of cool features, including traffic that I use multiple times a day that helps my commute because I also got the MSNdirect traffic link. And recalculation of routing takes seconds instead of minutes.

So I got that I can send Favorites to my GPS for geocaching, I can send items to the GPS wirelessly 20 per day or send Favorites to my Nuvi 500 via USB cable in GPX format. But there is a Geocaching section in the "Where to.." section. Any one have any ideas how to get this enabled and working?

I believe I have to get a premium geocaching.com account for this?

While I don't mind paying for something that will be useful for me. What features does geting the premium geocaching account do for the Nuvi geocaching.com "Where to.." section? I could not find a good descrpition of what it would do or what I would be able to get in this section, it just kept saying I had to activate it at geocaching.com but I could not find any descriptions of content.

I just got a new Garmin Nuvi 500 and I have 400 custom POI loading and can't get the proximity points screen to come up so I can set it to show the caches when I'm driving near them. can anyone help??

In the macro screen on the top right, you need to set up the alert type to Tourguide and type how far from your position do you want to be warned of a cache.

    Hope that helps.

Thanks for the reply..but as faw as I can see I don't have a Tourguide when I click on the small screnn..

Check the settings outlined in Red in the picture below:

Also make sure you are running POI Loader ver. 2.5.2.0

  9. I am having trouble get my pocket queries, it shows on the web site that they are being sent but I'm not getting them.. I get all the other e-mail from the wen site just not the queries..

  10. I like the new functionality, but the basic map shown seems less useful. Maybe it's the default zoom level that makes it so you don't really have a context of where the cache is compared to nearby cities, etc.

Luckily you can change the zoom level and make it useful to you!

  11. The maps that I was having trouble with was the ones on the web site, that said (view maps), when I click on them all I get is a box with a small x in the top left corner, I have now found out it's my computer I check on my laptops and it works find on both of them, now all I have to do is find the lost file.. if anyone knows what file it might be it would sure help, if I don't find it I will have to reformat my computer...
