  1. Great tips!!

I'll need to keep an eye on the weather and be willing to adjust based on what's happening on the ground that week.

I'm a Montana guy living in Arkansas so I understand that its both my driving and those around me that 'keep us all safe.'

I'm hoping for a dry but cool run at this thing! if not now, sometime before high summer.

  2. So, I'm going to break down and start biulding a Wherigo and need some advice/help.

My area association (geocaching) is going to have an event in a month or so, and I'd like to create a nice Wherigo activity for them. We are going to have several new games, but I though a reverse cache as an Wherigo would be fun since we are in a nice town with several iconic locations.

The idea: create a Wherigo cartridge that would simply show a lower-res picture of a famous location in our town (Litte Rock). The user would simply need to find the location that picture represnts (from the presepective of the picture/graphic - somewhat like the "shapeshot game"). At that point it would display another picture/graphic, and so on for about 6 locations. After the end, it would finally give a location for a cache with a log to sign.

Questions.. 1. can this be done/overdone? Good or bad idea?

    2. Since I'm going to be learning, which of the biulders should I learn first - espeically given the type of cartridge I need to biuld.

Thanks in advance for any help you can give!!

  3. I found these this weekend while out with friends on the OK land run... it was nice to see these 'live' and well out in the wild!

This is the 2006 Trash in/out coin... very cool.

This is the Sun micro... WOW, those were small tracking numbers, but a cute coin.

This was the favorite of the day, but I am a teacher so I might be biased.

A very cool and good looking 'phone' coin... the photo didn't do it justice.

We go these coins and a cool box of 're-gifts' - it include two tree ornaments, a stash-bag, a 2006 School picture clock, a wrist-bead kit (my girls LOVED this one), and a few other items. Thanks for this... we had a GREAT time looking through it all.

  5. We had this thread in the old forums, so I thought I'd put it back up again. In the spirit of 'what was in the mailbox today?'... this thread is for honoring those geocoins who are actually found traveling IN A GEOCACHE... not at events, not in a GeoFriend's pocket, but in an honest to gosh geocache.

Please post a picture (not tracking numbers obviously) if you can and tells its 'story' if it has one!

    Enjoy!

Mezzo and I were just AMAZED at his package... we loved it! A LOT of thought and time went into it, so THANK YOU. (Made me want to re-do the one we sent). This was our fist time, so we really didn't know what to expect. Thanks for putting this together (both the package and the mission)!

Mezzo is a very nice looking dog  Where was that picture taken? Looks like a very nice place to bring a dog ;)

Thanks! This photo was taken on Barra de Tujuca Beach, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil - a few minutes from our home there. We have just moved back to the US after being away for 10 years! We're glad to be back. These days, we run around the streams and woodlands of north-central Arkansas.

As a way of an update, I just got my mission, so we're back in the game.
