  1. I got a fax that had an email address that when I emailed it I got an autoresponder stating a website that only had a phone number. When I called it I was instructed, by an automated system to go to this post immediately and not ask any questions, or else. So here I am. Place 'em if you got 'em.
  2. quote: Most of you had probably never heard of a geocache back then I remember visiting his website checking those coins out when I stumbled accross them somewhere. I thought they were so neat. Doubt I will ever run accross one, but I do, you can be sure it will stay on the move. Phil Place 'em if you got 'em.
  3. Are Louisianians welcomed? More specifically, Louisianians that are currently placed in Arkansas... Place 'em if you got 'em.
  4. Naturally they are. I was really just concerned with the Garminians. I really enjoy hanging out with those folks. It would be a shame if at our next gathering, they setup camp a few extra hundred feet away. Place 'em if you got 'em.
  5. Just curious... Has anyone heard/read anything about the gov. "turning on" SA since GPS technology is being used so widely right now by the military? I would hate that for you Garmin toters. Here is a link to a SA site for those who don't really know what this is: Selective Availability - GPS This is not an updated site. Thanks - Phil NOTE: I did not start this thread to discuss politial views. So if you have them look elsewhere to share them. Place 'em if you got 'em.
  6. Super Cool.... Thanks Alex for finding this... Brings back some memories. Hope to see everyone again soon!!!! Place 'em if you got 'em.
  7. Okay - getting a VERY late start. Won't be there till around dark-30. Will have FRS on channel 2. Looking forward to seeing all my caching buddies. Phil Doug - Got us a little PBR. (I will share with others too!) Place 'em if you got 'em.
  8. Okay gang, we are coming in Friday early. Hopefully early enough to reserve our camping spot if ClayJar is not already there. I sent me cell to Team Kiwi via email. Someone else might want to just in case my coverage fails out there. Looking forward to seeing the ole gang and meeting the newbies. I was going to rent a canopy tent last time, but decided against it. Ooops. Glad some folks have them for this time. Yep - I remember when I signed up, there were no caches in Louisiana and then Bobby's popped up. What a joyful day!!! Also some bad news::: I got the call today and was denied , so I might end up back in Louisiana if I can find an IT job down there. Who knows... See y'all there. Phil Place 'em if you got 'em.
  9. Keep up the good work ClayJar... you are just the man for the job. Alex -- hoping to make it... And YOU mentioned the competition to me first... hehe Phil Place 'em if you got 'em.
  10. Count me in for crawfish - closer to the five pound mark... Also - Steph will want some, but closer to the 1 pound mark. She really don't eat them, buts likes a couple. Weather is looking like rain. Be prepared... ClayJar needs to pick up the pace. Alex - I will have your prizes for the competition. Also - I will have a few shirts available if anyone wants to purchase any. Prices: $12 short sleeve and $15 for longsleeve. Numbers are limited to first come first serve. If you want to reserve one just let me know. They are all white with the logo from the website on them. Looking forward to seeing everyone. That is unless I get the "call" I have been waiting for in the next few days. Phil Place 'em if you got 'em.
  11. We can use the same spot as we did last time. I am open to any date in Feb. It really was a great spot, plenty of room for tents. Plus, if Sabahar brings the Hilton Spa Royal, we will need it! wink, wink. Alex, can you give me your paypal address? Place 'em if you got 'em.
  12. I KNOW you guys think I have dropped off the face of the Earth since I have moved, but are any of you LaG'ers interested in getting a team together? Also, the thread kinda died on the winter campout. I posted my reply and it went silent... Maybe nobody likes me anymore... Nahh, that can't be it. Place 'em if you got 'em.
  13. Thanks for the "early" heads up... Phil Place 'em if you got 'em.
  14. Well, I grew up in Arkansas and moved to Louisiana for college. Due to recent events I am back in Arkansas for a while. I am in South Central -- NEAR Rison -- for the fellow who needed some cords up in the posting. Is there any activities planned for us Arkansas Cachers? Thanks, Phil www.lageocaching.com
  15. Bet y'all thought I was a ghost... Come back to haunt you... Well no, I am still alive. Barely. I live in a shopping cart and use my GPS for heat. Okay - it is not that bad, but I am still in Arkansas and unemployed. Still waiting to hear from the you know who, for those of you who know. Got my Physical results in (man that was a thorough physical - from ears to, well you know) and I got a clean bill of health.. Only cost me some dignity and TOOOO much blood.. 4 vials!!! Anyway, I would love to meet up with my cool friends and camp. Let me know when and where I will try to attend. Sorry I can't help put it together, but I am kinda out of place to do that. Alex - I have not forgot about you... and Katie I think I have that extra shirt... what size was that? Let me know and it will be mailed along with the greenbacks. Thanks guys. Phil - Oh, can Petie come this time also?
  16. We had a good turn out taking into count the rescheduling of the event. I believe more folks could have made it if Lili had not stopped in for a visit. We camped out and talked late into the night and ate great food. There was plenty of laughs and a few good hunts. Check the logs at: LaGer's Fantastic Fall Folly to get all the gossip. Thanks, Phil
  17. There once was a cacher named Phil His GPS and his Jeep gives him thrills Then there was a call Get here quick and on the ball So off to New Orleans he went. Would anyone happen to have an old cot in a basement I and Petie could crash on??? I would love to find some geocaches during the weekend. I have a meeting on November 1st and I thought that maybe if nothing was going on for some of y'all I could hit some of the better caches in the area. No hard feelings if no one is available. Thanks! Phil
  18. I have also secured us some firewood so we don't have to scout around. HOPEFULLY it will be enough. Be sure and check the Louisiana Geocacachers Board/Forums from within the members section of the site. Later, Phil
  19. I should have a new travel bug out -- Well three new ones, but two will most likely be swiped up before you get here. The third Samarai Jack may still be around the Alexandria area. Keep an out if you are interested. Enjoy your trip. Phil http://www.lageocaching.com {If I eat a live frog in the morning, I may not have a rest of the day. Though I'd eat me up sum fried frog legs!!! }
