Thank your for all your replies and emails geodarts.
I tried a travel WiFi router (TP Link TL-WR902AC) and it works fine. I could access the internal memory of the Oregon and download the geocache_visits.txt file to my iPhone.

I still use Geosphere to plan out trips, import queries, and export gpx files although it is not supported under iOS 11 - other apps can do this or you can simply upload a pocket query if that works for you.
The Oregon plugs into the router and is connected as a NAS device. FileExplorer works for me to transfer gpx files or maps from the iPad/iPhone to the GPSr, but there are other apps out there as well, including the FileHub plus app if you end up with that model.

The Rav Power File Hub is even cheaper than the Mobilite, I'll try it.
Do you know if I can easily switch between the internal memory and sd card on the Rav when the Oregon is plugged to it ?
My main use will not be to transfer GPX files, but to import the geocache_visits.txt file to drafts

I'm interested in your solution with the Mobilite ! Are you still using it, or have you found a new way to transfer files between an Oregon and an iPad/iPhone ?

If I press start, it closes and stay closed. But if I manually close it by sliding it down without pressing start, it reopens after ~ 10 seconds

I'm a new user of an Oregon 700 and after three days of usage, I'm really happy with it.
I'm using it in Activity mode, and there's something annoying with the "Record activity" drawer coming from the bottom of the screen. Every 10 seconds, the drawer opens automatically and I need to manually close it (see the picture in french).
I don't have this problem if I start the recording by pressing "Start" ("Démarrer" in my case), but I don't wan't to record my geocaching tracks...
Do you know how I could close it definitively ?
