  1. Sounds like you need to activate the TB's. This page is where you will be able to do that. I found that link on the "Track Travel Bugs" page at gc.com. Good luck!
  2. I didn't read that he refused to answer the question. What I got out of it was he was asked several questions over a couple or more emails which he answered. He then asked what the problem was instead of answering yet another question. I probably would have done the same thing. I mean, just tell me what you think the problem is with my cache and I'll address it. Let's not play 20 questions. Hmmm....when I ask someone a question and don't get an answer, to me, that's refusing to answer the question. That whole exchange between us doesn't amount to anything in this discussion. The discussion is about why the cache was archived and what question the OP refused to answer.
  3. Respect: Respect the guidelines for forum usage, and site usage. Respect Groundspeak, its employees, volunteers, yourself, fellow community members, and guests on these boards. Whether a community member has one post or 5,000 posts, they deserve the same respect. Personal Attacks and Flames will not be tolerated. If you want to praise or criticize, give examples as to why it is good or bad, general attacks on a person or idea will not be tolerated. With all due respect, I didn't see any disrespect in BT's post. It has been mentioned in a previous thread that the approvers wouldn't respond until all the facts were in. It was also joked about earlier in the thread that KA was being reprogrammed whilst in Washington. Perhaps this was a blanket reassurance to the mob to keep things clean, but it seems like it was aimed at BT's post. If it was aimed at BT, I don't see any disrespect. OT: To the OP, what was the question the approver asked that you refused to answer? Inquiring minds want to know!
  4. I'd suggest you reserve a large enough area for everyone that is attending, so you're not bumping into each other all day. Close quarters can make for a bad gathering.
  5. Like it should be: And after I got new tires:
  6. I don't see a problem with a cover charge for an event, or passing the hat, either. To be fair, when you have an event, you should supply any handouts or cache pages in braille, so if there are any visually handicapped cachers there, they can feel the bumps and read the cache pages.
  7. Where's the mud? It's not a real Jeep unless it's got mud on it!
  8. Nope....only the caches I've found get the TB logged into them. I have on a couple of occasions, logged the TB twice into the same cache. Example: when I find the cache, I'll log my Geocoin (wonder where I got that? ) into it, then if I go back to the cache to either pick up or drop off another TB, I'll log my Geocoin into it again, since I did actually travel to the area and find the cache again.
  9. Considering you searched for it twice, .32 miles apart, yeah, I'd call that two finds.
  10. But I thought it was a tool that starte.......errr....nevermind.
  11. Yeah, that was the part I left out of my post. I had called Coke HQ to ask about it, two people said there were no GPSr's, just phone numbers to call if you found a "specially marked can", the other person said it was actually a transponder like a cell-phone, that when activated, connected you to the prize center. Either way, I'd like to win. The first thing I'd do is trade it for a real SUV: a 2005 Jeep Rubicon!!!
  12. Too bad it's not really a GPS receiver. And, depending on who you talk to at Coke HQ, there's not even a can with a GPS transponder, just a special can with an 800 number to call. No GPS technology involved at all. You call them, give them your address, they send you the prize.
  13. Look again, KP....it ain't even there anymore.
  14. How old does it have to be before we can't bump it anymore. Oops, did it again! That depends on the subject of the thread. This one should not be bumped after 2 days. So don't reply, and that way it never gets bumped! El Diablo Ok....I won't....oops! Drat, foiled again!!!
  15. I could swap the BB's out for dirty golf balls.
  16. How old does it have to be before we can't bump it anymore. Oops, did it again!
  17. But I'm married! That would be a sin!!! Lust is a sin!!!!!!!!! OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  18. From your own profile: Well, at least you never hear about alcohol, cheating on spouses, violence, lying, stealing, or anything bad like that in country music. Guess you're clear there. Oh, yeah, cars kill people, too. Bummer. Guess that gets rid of another hobby for you.
  19. This dadgum country is just getting way to PC!! So, what's next? Do we go through every single cache ever placed and remove anything that anyone may find offensive? What about items not made in the USA? Made by a foreign country whose beliefs aren't the same as us? Hell, let's just get rid of all those ammo boxes, too, then, because those are a product of war, and war is killing people! Oh, the humanity!!! A freaking cartoon picture of a freaking bear drinking a freaking beer!!!! Good Lord, what's next?!?!? Sterilizing people as a pre-emptive strike to prevent their sons and daughters from becoming criminals, or better yet, just to prevent their sons and daughters from having to see pictures of a bear drinking beer, or by chance coming across a bottle opener in a cache that advertises beer? Lord knows they'd never see that anywhere but inside a freaking geocache! There is no other way I know to say anything about what you did and why except to say it in a way that will most likely get me warned! How freaking stupid! How the heck do you survive in this world if a stupid little cartoon or a stupid little inanimate object causes you that much freaking grief?!?!?!?
  20. Fine, but you missed the point. The "rocket science" comment was aimed at figuring out why you don't see a rating system, which is aimed at the comment that obviously Jeremy does have better things to do with his time. Didnt' miss it all, just used a different context for the word.
