  1. Man, I came on here to see why people were constantly emailing me asking for my Moun10bike coin. It started all the sudden too, like maybe people noticed they could cash in with them? I'm not quiet sure where my coin is, I know I have it, but haven't been able to locate it.......now maybe for the prices I've seen people willing to pay for one, I'll look harder...wonder how much #111 would sell for <_< Just kidding, if I ever find it, I'll have to make a special cache for people to find it.

I'll have to keep my eye out for it.

  2. Thank you soooo much. This really does mean a lot to us. Team Three(MarinerBC & Team Giblert) will now be the current active caretaker of the cache (Thank you, thank you, and ummm....thank you). When we placed this cache, there was no 'traditional' caches in the city of Victoria, they were mostly virtual. There was no 'vacation' rule that I was aware of. The overwhelming success of this cache is amazing. We're glad that so many Cachers have had a chance to find this one. We've gotten many good reviews of it. I'm changing the description on the cache page right after I post this.

Again, big thanks to everyone!!!! What a great community of people!!!

EDIT: Cache won't let me edit the details until it's un-archived! I'll get on it as soon as possible!

  3. Well, it appears that our cache in Victoria has gone astray. It appeared that everyone who visited this one enjoyed it and was happy to see an 'actual' cache in the middle of the city. I'm writing in hopes of getting ahold of someone living in the Victoria area who had visited the cache while it was still alive. If someone remembers where it was, is there ANY chance that you could replace this for us? Thanks will be given on cache page. We'd of course fix this ourselves, but live in Portland, Oregon. We'll be in Vancouver for New Year's Eve and a few days after, but we're not yet sure if we can make it over to Victoria.

    Please help a good cache!!

    Thanks in advance!!

  4. I would be going via the Monitor Ridge route to EraSeek's Above the Clouds cache and possibly the highest part of the volcano if we feel up to it.

Just so you know, if I remember correct, the cache is a little past half-way, so if you're planning on going to the top, you still got a good climb ahead of you!

    Good luck to all.

BTW: If you don't get the climbing passes by mail or however you were going about it, there's a lottery for the remainding tickets at 5:30pm (I believe) at Jack's Restaurant (just west of Cougar). This is the store you need to register at anyway, so you should know where it is. They give out a total of 100 tickets a day....50 of them CAN be reserved, the rest are held for the lottery.

    =======

Not sure if you knew that info, but I thought I'd throw it out there for all.

  5. Strange site, here's a few good one's from our name:

-white rabbit is a clear example of a nutcase

-white rabbit is the white rabbit (??)

-white rabbit is in the black cover and the black rabbit is in the cover with the white hat

-white rabbit is a song latent with drug references

-white rabbit is that the rabbit does not realize it is taking part in a magic trick

-white rabbit is going to turn purple

-white rabbit is put into a larger empty cage which is immediately covered and spun around

-white rabbit is a loyal and true friend of alice

    ~~and the all too obvious~~

-white rabbit is from lewis carroll’s story alice in wonderland

  6. "i see now where you stated that the tag was fastened real good to that rabbit and it wasnt likely to come off. Im not sure why anyone would think to seperate the two!"

Seriously.....look how many times this is fastened around Alice's neck. I think it was rapped around a total of 5 times.

Anyway, this is a bump to see if anyone can help out. Wish I could edit it to say Alabama...not Louisiana....oh well.

    Thanks!

  7. Yeah, I couldn't believe it when I read his post. I mean, dang, I had that travel bug roped around the neck of that rabbit so tight I thought it's head would pop off. Why would someone take the tags and leave the actual 'bug'?

Luckily, I've got some decent news. Someone who has recently visited the cache stated that they 'believe' she was in there. The cache itself got waterlogged though icon_frown.gif That's probably not good for Alice....and especially her camera icon_frown.gif I bet there were some really great pics on that camera...next time we'll spring for a waterproof one!

  8. My travel bug Alice the Travel Bunny has recently been MIA. The last person who grabbed the travel bug was rather new (only 12 finds) and says that he actually took the travel bug tag OFF of the rabbit and left the rabbit/camera in the cache....yet I don't believe that the rabbit is there or that he went back to retrieve it icon_frown.gif I wish he'd answer my email.

    Alice.....where are you!??

  9. Well....Alice the Travel Bunny

    http://www.geocaching.com/track/track_detail.asp?ID=6606

had been going on a grand adventure throughout the states. Her goal was to take pictures of the mighty waterways and oceans of America. Her main goal was to get to the Florida Keys and the East Coast. Recently, a cacher by the name of Goza has removed the travel bug tags from Alices neck and left her in a cache (supposedly). I've tried contacting Goza to figure out why he'd take the travel bug tag off of the travel bug....but he won't respond. Alice had a lot of pictures that I really wanted to see on her camera and now she's missing. I don't know what to do. Alice is 'supposedly' in this geocache:

"Morgan's Treasure" by Don Quixote http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?ID=26980

If someone can find her....it'd be very, very appreciated!! Please help my find my travel bunny!! I'd hate to lose her and her pictures!! She's had such a good trip so far. Unfortunately, I'm worried that Goza just took the rabbit for himself, I can't figure out why else they'd go to the trouble of removing the actual travel bug dog tag from around her neck. If you know this cacher, please ask him for me, I'd really like to know where the rabbit is.

p.s. Goza....if you're reading this and it's not too late....please don't send the rabbit BACK to Chicago...her goal is Florida and she was really close. She just came from the Chicago area.

    Thank You

  12. Dang. Alice the Travel Bunny wants to go to Florida and take some pictures of the Gulf and ocean out there. Unfortunately, she's stuck in Wisconsin. Don't you hate waiting for your travel bug to move or be placed in a cache? I bet it's nice and warm in Florida.......mmmmmmmmmmmmmm..........sun & heat.........

  14. We had dropped some stickers (Geo-Decals)off in Duck Country 2. For some reason, I doubt there's any left though. It's on the outskirts of Eugene. Great cache, nice hike, sorry if there's none left.

  15. Welcome to Geocaching. What a great sport, everyone is so freindly. Anyways, like said before, there are a good amount of good caches out in Gresham. The Springwater series (though I think we've only hit one or two) are good walk and fairly simple. There's a great cache out at Powell Butte (Butte)

which is a fun, fairly simple walk. You may want to check out our Waterfront Scramble if you're ever in downtown Portland. Good view of the city, a nice, easy stroll (RWS)

. There's a ton of great caches around, too many to list. Hope you have a good time with your new found sport/activity.

  16. No, there shouldn't be a limit, why not? Because more and more rules make it less and less attractive of a sport. Our cache in Victoria BC seems to be doing just fine on it's own up there. It's been hit 44 times since we placed it and has had no troubles. If there is a problem with it, I'll get in touch with someone. We placed the cache because we were going to Victoria and couldn't find a nice cache that was in the city that we'd be able to find while looking around the wharf and tourist stuff. So we placed one and it seems to be a hit to most all people who find it. I don't think there needs to be a rule. Just use common sense when placing it.

Well, somehow there's actually a beaver living in the water near our Rabbit's Waterfront Scramble cache. That beaver HAS to be genetically engineered if he's actually able to live in the Willamette icon_wink.gif He's so cute.

Anyways, I'd go with the beaver I guess, just because it's a lot cuter (sp?) than a tree icon_razz.gif

  19. You know what's a real bummer? When you sell your car and you have to see one of the 'rare' Black Geo-Decals go. That was pretty sad, the black ones looked pretty nice and sleek. But, we now have a white one. It's on the driver's side of our pearly-white new (used) car. Can't tell you what kind though or someone might recognize us icon_razz.gif
