  1. OH MY, the FTF hounds in my area will trample small children and pets just to log it! I have been tempted to list a cache that isn't there just to make them insane for a while. Only problem is that the people that enjoy the game for what it is would be hurt too. I have an event coming up on April 17th. There are a minimum of 15 new caches already out and approved for the event, and it is advertised on the event page. I have already had calls asking for hints on where to be at noon, the time they are being published. It covers a 20 square mile loop so the hunt will be on and the FTF nuts are ready! GAME ON!
  2. If you ask, they will never publish it. Like a watched poy never boils, an anxious cache doesn't get published.
  3. Check your local forums further down on the index page. I know of no list per say, but locals from your area will know the ins and outs.
  4. HEre is a pic of the other persons cache I referred to: http://forums.Groundspeak.com/GC/index.php...t&p=3978546
  5. I actually have one of those, it is called NOT ANOTHER LAMP POST cache GC1TY5P. Cache is a 1 gallon container, in a tree, 8 feet up, leaning on a telephone pole with a dusk to dark lamp on it in the woods. If you look in the cool cache container thread there is a picture of another one that is a lamp post in the woods.
  6. When we began caching 2 years ago, we attended a local Geocoin fest, and really enjoyed it. Can anyone provide guidance on how to set one up? I have done events before, but I am not really sure where to start this one. Do I contact one coin maker, several? Any helpful suggestions would be great, THANKS!!!
  7. Not sure on the first one, the third required digging a hole. Pretty sure a pointy thing was used to make the hole.
  8. You mean Hampsters are not Golf Balls? No, but they play golf! Tennis too! Weightlifting And, snakes will lay down with hamsters, just like the lion and the lamb.
  9. You're going to get a lot of replies. Don't believe any of them! This is true. Hamstercaching isn't real. It's just a joke. I take offense to that, I hamster cache for real. I drop them off and retrieve them all the time.
  10. PERSISTENCE~with 1600 under our belt, we still get stumped by a 1/1 now and then. Keep searching!
  11. I have to go back to take the picture, LOWES today had a sign out front, NOW ACCEPTAN APPLICATIONS! APPLY TODAY!
  12. Yes, yesterday we were about 4000 away in the morning when I logged in, must have been a busy busy day publishing caches. Do we know the official 1,000,000th?
  13. I have one like that!!! 10 piles of sticks in a 50 foot area. The cache is an ammo can in tyhe crook of a tree, 10 feet up.
  14. That's got Urban Legend written all over it. With so many 2-car families, just because one of them is out doesn't mean the house is empty. It has happened to two of my clients. Cars got hit at the mall at Christmas, both returned home, 1 had an alarm, that was activated, the other had been hit pretty good by the thief, no alarm.
  15. Preferred, is that better than premium? I heard of Platinum before, preferred is new. (Just messing with ya, sorry)
  16. TeamEmtFireKids is made up of families from all over PA, who have at least 1 family member in each family that is an Emergency Medical Technician or a firefighter. Our present group is 25 strong and growing. We have more kids at this point than adults.
  17. Now, if he had stolen a full sized toe pincher coffin, I agree But if he had stolen all of my nanos, I'd been delighted. In all seriousness, I do believe prosecution is complete waste of public dollars. For gosh sakes, if you want the three bucks to replace that lock-n-lock, stop over some night. I'll help you out. So you condone theft? Obviously you don't own your own business. Set up a business selling cache containers and tell me it would be OK for someone to stop by every day and take one for free. Same thing. We prosecute people for stealing food, medicine, clothing, why not a cache? Theft is theft is theft. Glad you will never be on a jury in my area. I can hear it now, "Sure he murdered a homeless guy, but he was a BUM, big deal, there are lost more our there" Or sure, he stole your car, but you have another" Good grief, the law is meant to be handed out evenly, not at will. Are there exceptions, sure at times, but theft for spite on any scale should not be tolerated and from all accounts, this has gone on on a grand scale.
  18. Lol... says the party who wants to say who i can and can't marry. Anyway.. this is why caches shouldn't be near houses /residential areas at all. Guess I have to quit then, not to many handicapped accessible caches in the woods.
