  1. Hello all!

Can anyone educate me regarding where I can find archived geocaches? There is one near a cache I placed, and I have what I am told are the coords, but I could not locate it. I was hoping to find the listing for hints etc...

    The cache information I have is NAME(?): GC5672 SKY POND with Coordinates: N 43º 40.125. W 071º 34.930.

I was informed of this cache recently, and someone found it (using old info they had) and noted it was secure but not logged since 2006. Thanks y'all! TFC

  2. :) The main thing I've learned is: A surprising percentage of the time, the cache is in the last place I look. (before you say "duh", admit you've looked in holes, etcetera and didn't see the cache that is there.

Another thing: Geocachers don't have as much a sense of humor as you might hope. I learned this after hiding a micro with a 6 inch thread attached to a fake spider. (yeah, it's funny if it happens to someone else...)

and another: An hour long conference lunch break is a half hour too short to grab that cache you've been hoping to get to.

  3. Thanks for the info, my question is answered. I have seen a few rooters (GCs) who seem to be a bit daft about the FTF. I saw one of the "counters" mentioned above recording FTF, as well as someone near me who is not claiming FTFs for his milestone to be 10% FTF (he's at 495 finds with 50 FTF). Quirky but to each his own (actually impressed by the old bugger's Geo work!). I doubt if I'll actively seek FTFs, but that seems to be an interesting twist to this; so many vritions to satisfy different personalities!

  4. Are First to Finds (FTF) just for bragging rights or are they "logged" somewhere? I just had a FTF today bu am unsure how/if I should "claim" it. Couldn't find the answer anywhere!
