  7. Another big thing for me is the projection of a waypoint. In the Vista you can project to 3.45 miles, while the V all you can do is 3.0, 3.5, 4.0. There is a lot of distance to look for a cache between 3.25 and 3.5.....Also in the Vista with MS topo loaded you can get POI. Now with the V they don't show up. Garmin needs to update the V at least equal with the Vista. Right now I do like the V, although I believe if the Vista had the V's antenna I'd go back to the Vista. The V right now is way over rated until the upgrade. Just my .02 worth.

  9. I would like Jeremy to add a refined searching tool. When you do a search from your home area or zipcode a list comes up with all caches in the area. This list includes caches found,& hid. The problem that a lot of us is running into is you have to hit the next 25 caches button a number of times before you actually see a cache that you can go get. My suggestion is after you type in your zipcode there is another button that allows you to select all caches within 100 miles, or caches you haven't found within 100 miles. Tell me what you think.

  11. http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.asp?ID=15164 I had this event last weekend, and everyone loved it. Check it out. Quad
  12. I give them around 24 hours and 2 emails, if no response there deleted. Sound tough, but my answers are easy. To many people just try the easy way out by not answering the question.

  14. The cache that was listed at the top of this forum is mine. I don't see anything wrong with MOC. There is still plenty of caches in the area that all for everyone. Whats the big deal? I do plan to make both type of caches. The MOC caches will be opened up to all after about 2 weeks as MOC. You dont have to pay to play, everyone can still play just as it has always been. Quad
  15. Niether wind, rain, snow, or any weather for that matter will stop me from caching. Quad

  17. I contacted Garmin and they stated users of V need to write sales@garmin.com and tell them what we have noticed. This is the only way they will add features or update the software.

  19. For the $250 I'd buy the Garmin Legend, Mapping, simple and no need to update within a few months after you get familiar with it. After one of your buddys buys a mapping unit and you have a basic one you'll want to kick yourself in the rear. Just my .02 worth. Quad (Garmin V)
