[Are there state maps which show only earthcaches?]

I believe you can filter the maps for cache types. One of the map links on every Listing takes you to a google map showing nearby caches. Probably unlikely you get an entire State in a single view.

 

 

I understand about those map links on every cache listing that takes one to a google map showing nearby caches. Actually I have used those extensively when searching caches in one area. Now, very recently, those maps have been eliminated, (rather they have been replaced) and I am feeling a little lost. I am finding my preparations for caching is much more time consuming in working out to map an order of search.

 

Is there another way to filter for all caches in an area after that particular map is no longer available on the cache website?

If you don't want your Trackable collected just set the status to "non-collectible". Doing so will remove it from a person's collection and place it in their inventory. Many times the owner of a series of geocoins mean for them to be collected.

 

I simply do not understand that concept of collecting trackables owned by other cachers. I am in agreement with DrMORO. Geocoins and TBs are owned by other cachers and they (at least the majority of owners) do not want them collected/kept by other cachers. They are set into the "wild" to be tracked (hence "trackables") on their journey from cache to cache to meet a predetermined goal.

I have also read of a pencil/pen referred to as a "scribbler"... are there any other "slang" terms heard?
