  1. YES! My family cares about the swag! My kids scour the house for something at any mention of caching. I wanted our first outing to be a successful and fun reminder of our hunts~ so we did choose several P&G's.

For myself~ I don't really care-- but I like to find NICE things - NOT rusty pennies or washers like we found this weekend. we hadn't gone in years and I was shocked to see the lack of nice swag! Almost every cache this past wknd had gross pennies, buisiness cards or broken toys. My children were disappointed but did trade a few items. Next weekend, I think we will plan a trek into the back country and judge the swag there!

I must agree with several other cachers-- my kids don't like the micros & it does seem like the ratio of micros/traditional caches has gone up since we last went (about 4 years ago).

ETA: I have been teaching my children the trade up concept and how to help maintain the cache~ so we carry extra paper, baggies and such to help out the caches. My kids also have a dedicated cache bag now! ;D

  2. And for the record, I have an email sent to me when changes are made and who makes them, so let's keep this on the up and up. I'd hate to see anyone excluded from the list!

Using or abusing the list for reasons other than what it was intended for will be grounds for removal from it, including access to it!

    Naomi :)

Well, thank goodness there is a "credibility" clause! I can't belive an ADULT (well, obviously not an adult) would do something like this! Hmph! ;)B)

  3. Today we received a beautiful '08 Blue Kansas Sunshine, Thank you Larry!

We also received a Nude Cacher, but I think I'll leave that one to your imagination, LOL. :)

Really? A nude cacher? B) LOL- seriously?! How did that one ever get printed? ;)

  4. Me too! In fact I've just found a very strange coincidence. One of the caches you just logged in France was previously logged by a french cacher from Trois Rivieres in Quebec...I recognized the cacher's name as they have very recently cached in Calgary!

It's a small world after all....

Hmmmmm, some good detective work in our midst? Or just a coincidence....... staying tuned! ;D

  9. MISSION # 6: In 150 words or less tell my Agent Crew (here in this thread) Why you want one of the V2 coins. And why you WILL NOT SELL IT.

    Let the mission begin.

Seeing as how it will be our (family) first coin EVER~ I think it will be treasured! Besides, my 11yob wouldn't allow it!

  10. A dream coin? Well, since our family is VERY green at this~ we haven't really seen what is out there. I LOVE the idea of the GSA coin- and covet it.... but truly, I have another coin on the list-

I would LOVE a coin that represents our family that we could plant & watch it go. Something on it that represents us each as individuals and then something that represents what unites us as a family. I am still pondering it... but someday, our family will have a coin to call our own!

If that doesn't qualify, our "real-live-dream-coin" would be the the earthturtle. The turtle represents (to me) a meek and mild spirit and what we (IMO, as humans) should stive to resemble to each other. To me, it is something that I would like our family coin to represent.

I hope that makes sense! ;D
