I did a cache in North Yorks. It entailed me hanging by my finger tips over a 150ft plus shear drop... i couldn't find it for love or money. It to was only a 2 Terrain i thought to myself "these northerners are bloomin hard up here if this is a 2!!!" It turned out i was at the correct co-ords BUT 150ft plus TO HIGH....it was at the base of the cliff not the top, so it was the same co-ords but over 150ft away VERTICALLY.... not the cache setters fault in anyway just mine for taking the difficult route....enjoyed it all the same.

I've just switch from my trusty Etrex Legend to a GPSmap 60C probably from the same web site.... i think its a better machine....and in MY opinion it works better under trees than the Legend did. Plus its got some nice additional features, USB being one of them for FAST uploading of waypoints and Maps, and the route planning... quite handy.
In all i'm happy with my upgrade... i wouldn't have spent £150 more for a 60csx though.

Pocketgpsworld charges £2 for a months membership or i think £20 for the year..... i just update my data base every 3rd month or sooner if i'm going to unfamiliar territory. Whats £2 compaired to £60 and 3 points.... well worth it.

I think she might even settle on individuals

Hi all,
I've recently been approached by a reporter from ITV Anglia News, she is looking to do a feature about Geocaching.
She is looking for a family to be "interviewed and show her the ropes"
They also need to be based in Beds, North-ish Herts, Milton Keynes, Cambridgeshire or Northamptonshire area.
Apparently it's due to be filmed within the next couple of weeks in time for Fathers Day.
I'd love to do it BUT i'm wanted in 7 counties for sheep rustling
If there any takers i'll pass on the relevant information.

Well, after I exported a number of caches from GSAK to the i3, I noticed that the macro I used to do this deletes the entire content of my POI folder first, so I've just lost all my other POI files
Not a major problem, except I can't find the UK Speed Camera database anymore - anyone got a link or anything? PM or e-mail through profile if necessary!
Many thanks
Dave
I dont thinks its the macro thats doing it its just the way the i3 does things. You have to make sure that everything you want to upload is in the same folder. So in my folder i have the speed camera data base and the nearest 607 caches, so when i sync it it uploads the lot. When i update my caches i just get GSAK to export them to into the same folder as the speed cameras, it says these files already exist do you wish to overwrite...which i do...so it then puts the caches in the folder ready to upload with the camera data base at the next sync.
Ok Ok so my last posting was wrong i've just noticed that the same thing has happened to me, it DOES delet the entire database DOH!!
Luckily my POI's are in a different directory to the one i finally sync from.....

I bought one the other day based on peoples comments on this forum. So far i'm really happy. I've got the speed camera database on there now AND my nearest 607 caches, and i've even manage to sort out the correct on-screen icons for the caches.
I got mine at Halfords for £129 BUT they were in the process of putting them up to £139 for Easter...nice of them.
