If I am starting my very first geocache is it okay to put in a tracking bug that I found in another cache and am needing to move along? Would it be better to put it in an established cache?

Here are just a few examples. I have saw tons of them with titles like this in my home state of Missouri.

Hello. I was wondering if there was any ruling on this. I own a geochache. Is trading nic nacs from your own geocahce allowed. Example: I hide a geocache containg a log book, a Canada flag pin and 2$. Someone traded the 2$ and left a Tim Hortons key chain. Lets say I wanted that keychain. Because I own the cache am I able to take the keychain as long as I leave something elese behind?
I have wondered that myself as I am preparing to hide my very first geocache of my own.

I am new to geocaching and I have saw the term banana quite frequently? Can someone please explain to me what it means?

We found our first trackable yesterday, a travel bug (we're new). So, this TB started in South Africa in 2008 and has found itself in Portland, Oregon - needless to say we're pretty excited. Anyway, my question is: how long is too long to wait to put it back out there? It's been in Oregon and Washington for years, and I'm going to Virginia in 6 weeks... is that too long to hang onto it? I could put it back in the Portland area today, but it would be more fun to see it go further. What do you think?
Thanks!
Mel
I'm new to this but I had heard if you are going to hold it for over 2 weeks to let the TB owner know your intentions.

What is the best swag you have ever found in a cache?

Awesome, thanks! Yes, I would be able to easily retrieve it as I visit the town I plan to place it in at least once a week.
