Yes it does have the alternate back battery cover, and the mounting adapter for garmin mounting kits. And no I don't want to start splitting the unit into pieces, sorry. Make me an offer I cannot refuse and I'll send the whole unit on its merry way. Thanks for your interest.

I have a Garmin eTrex Venture HC for sale. It is about 2 years old and has been used approximately 6 times. There are no scratches or dings on the unit. It comes with everything the factory sent plus a case and a car charger ($30 in extras). You can have it for $100 (check or money order). Shipping is free.

This is a fantastic endeavor you are undertaking. I have a problem though. I run Linux. I have installed your IbycusUSA.exe under "wine" but cannot get my Garmin Venture HC to be detected. So, I had a 1.6 Gig hard drive laying around (from the old days) and installed XP on it. After removing all programs, including IE and Outlook, I could only come up with 280 Megs of free space. I live in Oregon and would like to know if you are planning to do my state. Also, I would like to know if you are taking donations for the bandwidth of your help desk on your web site to kind of show our appreciation for the time-consuming task you are undertaking.
