I usaly cary a kinfe with me but more for the tool uses of it. In my neck of the woods a good rock would be just as good of a weapon as any not many 4 leged treats aound that a god yell wont scare. But I also cashe with freinds that have a (mm on there hip so I usaly dont wory. Plus haveing takein Kung fu makes feal safe enough to deal with the 2 leged ones.

i have my way points downloaded and have iSolo on my note book what program do I use to convert them into a readable format.

Is there a way to put gsak on a mobel pro 880? It runs widows ce. I tryed puting it on and runing it buy it says it dosent reconize the format or something like that. If the answers no then what format should I exsport my weypoints in so they can be read on my notebook?

just go to there web site and search around for fermwear. When you find it they have step by step directions. Its relitivly easy to do. One prob with it is it resets your gps so you lose your wey points. I did this many mounths ago so I'm trying to rember the inprovments one I noticed a better acuracy and 2 the desplays changed slightly to make them easyer to read.

So that being said there have been alot of good and bad people that have smoked pot in the past future all thee lives and have contributed a great deal to everyone. There are also alot of people out there that havent touched pot beer or anything else and have contributed nothing.
While were blameing things for peoples actions I'd like to blame Marlyn Manson and violent video games for the holicost.
Lets try this blame each person for there actions insted of trying to pawn it off on other things. I know that blameing pot use on this that and the other thing is easy but dosent make your statements right. Wow I just rembered were on a GC forum maybey we should be talking about geocacheing???

As good as this sounds. It realy couldnt be a geo event from what I rember your suposed to avoid activity aftarwards. The last thing you want to do is have a cacher give blood then go hunt a new cache one of his boddys told him about and colapseing in the woods.

with my sports track I did a fermwear update and it greatly increased my accuracy

with the amount of info out on the inter net useing a gps is a pretty bad way to find cords. I do gis for work and can locate high quailty airal photos of just about anywhere in the us. After that I can take them into arc map and create a map with much more detailed read servey grade cords. If i can do this with little training im shure motivated terorest can and probly already are. All the post are proveing is in some ways the terorest have already won by causeing teror where none is needed. lighten up people its a gps with 3 metter acuracy theres alot better ways of "targeting" areas with out ever exsposeing your self to the "enemy"
Well got to go to class to learn how to use the better info even better if any terorest is reading this no i dont need a job thanks

Reciently on a news report they were interviewing some exspert on nuclear terorisum and alqada. He said the terorest have a specific death tole the want to reach some hugely insane number. He said it would take like 200 something would trade center attacts or 5 nuclear atacks on major citys to hit this number. I hardly think there gona waste the time on geocachers droping us 2 at a time man that would be alot of risk for very little reward. Sory for the vaugeness I was half asleep when watching the show.

I know with verts a camera is required thats part of a vert like i said Im talking tradisional caches. How bout this then if a camera is required at a tradisional type of cache the the owner should put a desposable in the cache for that purpouse or rate it a 5 to avoid needing special equipment.. As for the hikeing boots ect hike bearfoot if you want no one says on the cache page you must wear boots to log this. No one says you must have a 4x4 to log this you just have to walk farther if you dont. My issue is the need to take a pic to log the cache.

The way i read the rules is special equipment is anything that is not required for a bacic geo cache. Me for one not haveing a camera right now i consider it special equipment esp if its required to log a cache. Ive found a couple caches id love to do but being cameraless makes it so I cant log it just like not owning scuba equipment makes it inposable to log some under water caches.
edit: a car isnt a requirement you can still walk If its to far away from you then well you dont want the cace bvad enough.
And im talking tradisional caches

Lately ive been seeing alot of caches that require you to take a pic of you at the cache or some sourt of pic to beable to log. now some of these are sitll rated a 1/1. Last time i checked a camera is special equipment. Shouldnt these caches be rated difrently?

I just finaly got a nec mobilepro 880 (notebook) mostly for geo cacheing and I was woundering which of the programs on this sit seams to work best and why. I realize that im not gona get one right answer for this question but I'd like to know what one you use and why. Thanks for the help

I lost my flash ligh once put it down at a multi and byt the time i relized it it wasnt worth going back. Ya ya ya i know who cares hers where it gets good. soo im checking up on who else found the cache and a year latter someone found it. So i emailed them and they brought it to a event. I't even stil worked. But alas i lost it runing through the woods a couple mounths later ant another event so if anyone finds a flash light let me know.

I mean somone setting up a cache for someone to find, the cachers go and they shoot you, or you lift up a rock and a bomb goes off. It could be a movie . . .
Does that mean I shouldn't use this as a cache container?
i think the containers ok but the BB's in it might cause a chokeing hazard

no the close thing wount work cause someone would just make clear plasic knives and guns. To me im more wored about lighting hitting me then some nut that has enough time to make a bomb find a good cache place it and wait. That seams like a lot of work for a crazy person to do. Yes I know the unabomer did it and many other people but they usaly were politicly motivated. I know were the bane of hikers and cavers anywhere but im shure they have better things to do then booby trap a cache

both me and my freind use gis for work and have found it for the most part to be over kill just to map out points. She uses microsoft map i think and says its much easyer and it plans your route for you too.

alot of times the survayers are working with or for a gov't agency so They would have primition i guess. Pluss alot of the marking paint is designed to wash away fairly quickly.

ya i said that to one of my cacheing freinds right after she said the world is my parking space and i was informed not to go on her parking space. So i found a tree near buy she couldnt park on.
