  10. Hi, It costs nothing to upgrade the software. You just log in to the garmin website , connect your legend to the computer and download the software. I don,t think it takes away any memory. It does allow you to input 1000 waypoints and also you can enter your contact details into the legend so that if someone finds it and switches it on your info is displayed on startup screen so they may return it to you.
  11. Has any one thought of using a thermos flask without the insides for a cache container, and if not do you think it would be a good one ?
  12. I,m a line technician for Britains biggest curry manufacturer
  13. We are glad she has been found/returned to her family. Its great to get some good news after all the doom and gloom that has happened in recent years throughout the world.
  14. I,d like to see a stats page , not because I,m competative but because I think it would be interesting to see which type of caches people in different counrtries prefer without having to go through looking up many different profiles.
  15. Hi and welcome . Its always a bit of a risk , but you could check out ebay. Personally I,d shop around and buy from a reputable dealer. I got my first gpsr (a garmin etrex legend) a couple of weeks ago and it is easy to use for geocaching and navigating in the car.
  16. Keep thinking positive. We are praying that she will be back in the safe arms of her family real soon.
  17. Don,t know how to , so please add my name also. Who coined the term pirates? I vote they be refered to as thief/thieves from now on
  18. You may be right. I guess the cops are much busier these days. Although a newbie I really appreciate the hard work done by Jeremy and his actions on this matter may persuade any like minded individuals not to start in any country not affected by these pirates
  19. As far as i know we have no pirates here in the UK, but if we did I think the thing to do would be to furnish the cache owner with the hard evidence so they could report a theft to the police. If this didn,t work I would then be all for outing the perpetrators.
