  1. When All Geocaches By Postal Code (or other search category) are displayed, the traditional cache icon may also display a Member-only cache icon alongside the traditional cache icon. Maybe it would make sense to keep the traditional cache icon as is, but have an additional icon alongside as an indication that the cache is a micro?
  2. I would like to see Groundspeak change the wording on the Travel Bug tag from the whimsical poetry to something more akin to specific instructions. For example, the tag could say something such as: "If you remove this Travel Bug and the item it is attached to from a cache, you must log that you have taken it at the GEOCACHING.COM website. You must then move this Travel Bug and the item it is attached to another cache as soon as possible. The Travel Bug and the item it is attached to are not items that can be kept by the finder, so please do not remove them if you do not intend to keep them traveling." Seems to be a lot of people taking the travel bugs and keeping them because they didn't know that they were SUPPOSED to do something else with them. A few travel bugs that I've found and passed on were marked with user-created directions that explained what the travel bug was and what should be done with it. Until Groundspeak does something similar, I'll also be including supplemental instructions along with the travel bug tags on the items I send out into the hostile world.
  3. At the present, when searching for nearest geocaches in my area, the list of caches also includes red check marks to the left of the cache name to indicate that I have already found that cache. When searching for the nearest benchmarks in my area, the list of benchmarks is several printed pages long, but there are presently no check marks to indicate that I have already found a listed benchmark. This gets particularly confusing when attempting to download benchmark waypoints by lat/long for my home, lat/long for my station, and by my zip code. Some benchmarks appear redundantly in all three lists. Would it be possible to code the benchmark section so that listed benchmarks that have been found by the user are indicated by a check mark? This would make downloading new benchmarks to search for much easier, as each waypoint wouldn't have to be cross-checked against a list of benchmarks that I've already located. Thank you for your time and attention! Keith M. McDonald "Wreck Diver"
