  1. Take back what I said earlier, the hamsters now seem to be running in reverse.
  2. No problem for me, cache pages seem to be loading at their normal rate.
  3. Download them and listen when possible. If Collin is prepared to spend his time recording them then I will certainly continue to listen. More people need to support this venture.
  4. It looks like they have not been out caching since last July although they have logged in to GC.com earlier this month. Reading the logs where he 'grabbed ' the coins it seems that he likes to fill his treasure chest. Hopefully he will put these back into circulation.
  5. There is a regular Kent Cachers meeting, the next one is on the 28th May and can be viewed HERE
  6. Andy, right then it just has to be Munkeh. Nice one Andy good stuff
  7. Quite agree, some nice khebab shops, chinese take ways and indian restaurants in Crawley so why a McD's?? 5/5 for as khebab shop is ok as there is always a risk involved.
  8. Welcome to this wonderful Hobby/Addiction/Game/Obsession * Presume from the name that you use a phone with an appropriate app. * delete as appropriate
  9. you sure it's not him thats been abandonded
  10. Yeah but that was a bumpy campsite and I know the Crawley area.
  11. Considering McD's policy on disabled access I fail to see how they can even think of rating it more than 1 or 1.5. Difficulty 5??? even a blind person could find a McD's. Event caching Germany style.
  12. running ok now so must have just been everybody eager to log caches
  13. Somebody throw the hamsters some feed, been trying to get a cache page loaded for the last 15 minutes.
  14. All 5 by SXSW (CoolHorse) have been archived on the 25th April and that was the last time that the cache owner logged in to GC. He seems to have archived all his puzzles caches now.
  15. Maybe a feather duster, a red feather duster
  16. I always take an averaged reading at the GZ, I then walk away at least a 100yds and do a walk back following the GPS. Depending on where the walk back puts me I will settle on that reading/repeat part 1 again. Sometime in the wrong type of location I will repeat up to 4 times to try and get the best reading. If the area will be bad for reception (tree cover) I will give a good hint. I suppose I could volunteer to hand hold finders that expect co-ords to be within 3ft of the cache and walk them to the spot and leave them to look I just feel that a little search at the end is all part of the fun so to me +/- 5 metres is ok
  17. Just to let you all know that I recieved this email from Sarah this morning: <Quote> Hello Richard, Many thanks for all of your help on this. I have passed all of the details on to the series producer who is currently working on this summer's feature strand. We are certainly considering the item. My producer has contacted one case study who now seems reluctant to take part in any filming so we are considering alternatives. Many thanks, Sarah Farmer. <Quote>
  18. I have sent an email to Sarah enquiring whether the article is still being considered.
  19. "I really wish I hadn't got you that copy of the Kama Sutra for Christmas"
  20. Old trackside hut, long abandonded. Found on the Granite way between Lake Viaduct GC13AHK & Granite Trail No13 GC22MJO
  21. There are some agreements with the Nat Trust listed in the Landowners Agreement Database on the GAGB site listing the process and contact details.
  22. I would suggest that you contact them direct. I needed to get permission to place a coule of caches on an area that is listed as a Scheduled Monument which are managed by them and had no problem getting permission. customers@english-heritage.org.uk
  23. Last day for entries in the GAGB monthly competition. ENTRY DETAILS HERE
