IHO = In Honor Of, typically it will be put out for or because of a specific cacher, for another cacher. Ouch! try the reset procedure before giving up on it. Yup tried that, rest the memory, and re-initialized, no help =( Never sees any Satellites. I needed a new GPS any ways =)

Yea i tried it out, It is a neat and easy way to learn basic of gps. I though in order to get a lock you needed four satalittes? 3 satellites will get you a 2D location. The 4th lock will get you your 3D position. Thanks that is what i thought but none of the gps basic sites ever has a fourth satalitte The third satellite gives two possible spots where you could be: The GPS is programmed to discard the spot that is out in the middle of space. That is why you really only need 3 satellites to determine your actual position. You can get your Lat and Long with 3 satalites but you still will not know your altitude, as I can be at the same point on the earth but if I climb a 50ft latter I will be 50ft higher. That is what the 4th is for.

I'm coming and may have a empty seat in the toyota so we will get real close to alot of caches. Still waiting to hear from SKILLET. Will be at Dennys at 6. I will be at Denny's at 6am as well! Somehow the wife let me take the day off for caching! Unfortunatly I won't make the most excellent event....ThePolarBear will be upset about missing his drinking partner. Hey! Hey! Hey! I'm coming too. Make mine a Regular Slam at Denny's. This will be my first Geocaching outing since my sweet bride had her big-toe operation the second week of March. I'll need refresher training on my GPSr and PDA, and lots of help for finding hides; it's been so long. I've done the Otay Mountain run but there's a few Hides that are new since my last time along the ridge. I'll have room for three riders assuming that they know how to rub their head and pat their belly, you know, at the same time whenever asked. So who was it asking for a ride ... BoysnBarrie or ... ? If so then be fore-warned that my truck isn't painted as a school bus and doesn't sport all those flop-out signs and blinky-amber lights. Harmon SD Rowdies Ohhh BOY!!!
