  1. Well, I work as a Care Assistant in a Alzheimers and Dementia unit. Love it to bits and work 14 hour shifts for fun :( Apart from Caching I like camping and walking with UKCS group, live rock music (Morrissey, Alice Cooper, Greenday, Killers, Foos etc... and festivals (Wickerman, Leeds etc) I collect stamps, lol and have every presentation pack bar 4! Love gardening and buying plants. Collect Green Men have 50 of them. Like going out for a drink and a meal, cinema afterwards a bonus. Fave films are Wicker man, Get Carter, Vanilla sky, Spinal Tap, Straw Dogs. I NEVER have time to sit and do nowt :-)

  2. I have just come on to the forum as I too have had the invitation to take part in the survey and my suspicions were raised by its format - it may well be genuine but I am waiting to see if anyone I trust is sure of it.

    I just got one...seems ok ???

  3. Highlight: Meeting everyone on the NE meets. Lowlights: Not attending the last recent two...because I had to work :-( and knowing how much fun they were all having :-)

Super Saturnalia, Splendid Solstice and Season's Greetings to you all! Thanks for all the fun and here's to more in 2006! Queeny :-)

  4. ...Wicked...

As for Safe as Flick, it's the polite version of the title of Welsh band 'Goldie Lookin' Chain's latest album. Rude word? Outrageous!

LOL!!! My kids love the GLC!!! We have been to see them live 3 times and I can honestly say they are a class act!!! Their lyrics are a social statement of the age we live in. I know all their stuff and wear a GLC Hoodie :-) I'm their 38 year old Mum and in GLC terms; NO! I HAVENT GOT ONE!!!!!! LOL

  5. Apart from when I take Princess Freya and Lewy out with me, I do 95 % of all caches by myself! AND I have exciting adventures getting lost in the dark ;-) If I dont go out alone...I dont get to cache! Simple! Would be nice having a caching partner...but I am not going to miss out whilst waiting for one to pop along, LOL! And I feel I have bebefitted by all these new life experiences that I have forced myself into...map reading and driving being two huge steps forward for me. I used to let my exH do all of that and I didnt have the confidence to drive to Tescos! Now I drive all over Britain!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks Cachers!

  6. Well, this is very interesting for me! My family dog Islay (Jack Russell)died when I was 26, aged 15. Never wanted another cos I missed her so much...Now my kids are older and I am 38, remembering the fun times, I have decided its time to get another and have already been getting Lewy used to the idea...tho Fre cant wait! We have decided a small Border Terrier is for us, with their great reputation for friendliness and walking and they are just cute enough but robust too! Even got a name picked!!! Only one thing we are waiting for...Giro our cat is 18 and she has eye cancer so its kinder to wait til she has shuffled off before the insult of replacing her with a dog happens! Been waiting three years tho since the vet said it could be any day soon :-) she's a fiesty feline B) As a single female cacher, I often come home thinking how nice it would have been to have had a dog to share the walk. I am really looking forward to being an owner again.

  7. Great idea!!! Count me in! Try UKCS, the online destination for campers ;-) Its excellent and we often talk about Geocaching! Thats the best place in the universe for organising a camping meeting. In fact, pick an area and someone local will have the ideal spot in mind! I'm Queeny on there too by the way :P

  8. My friend Shamoon had relatives over from Canada who were "off to Penshaw Monument to look for treasure". Fascinated by this, I looked it up and was hooked!!! Amazing sport...and I have seen places I'd never have dreamed of going to :)
