  1. True wisdom from a rocket scientist who took up space in high school How far can you jump up? A foot or two? You have just added a foot or two to the total distance of your fall, making your fall even worse. I hope you're kidding about this one!
  2. I particularly like this description of the Mr. Magneto: Product Description: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Make your cache site as difficult as possible with Mr. Magneto. This container measures in at 7/16" x 5/16". With Mr. Magneto's magnetic base, this pico cache container can be hidden just about anywhere! Dimensions: Height: 0.0 inches Width: 0.0 inches Depth: 0.0 inches Yes, that's right - the 0x0x0 inch cache container - make sure NO ONE finds your cache - not EVER!
  3. I thought the first log was pretty funny too - "Also, it wants to challenge." Does that mean the cache put up a bit of a fight when he got close to it?
  4. Yes, but a megabyte is not a million bytes, nor is it a thousand kilobytes
  5. Well, um, TECHNICALLY a 128Mb card has 128Mb of space, not 131.072Mb. It DOES however have 131,072Kb of space, since a Megabyte is technically 1024 Kilobytes, just like a Kilobyte is 1024 bytes. And that very same 131,072Kb is not 131,072,000 bytes, it is 134,217,728 total BYTES
  6. We all know about the laws in DC. If you are a crack smoking mayor you can still hold public office. So has any one seen a crack smoking mayor on the trails while caching? I am just trying to keep it on topic. Hey it's all I got. Thats the best post in this thread Maybe DC needs a Marion Barry cache (Not sure of the spelling on his name) Yes, yes, I can see my log for that cache now: "Found January 28, 2005 by ParrotRob What an interesting multi-cache. The stop at City Hall was nice but I really enjoyed the federal penitentiary and the walking tour "Crack Houses of Southeast DC". I think if I were the cache owner, I would upgrade the terrain rating to 4 or 5, mainly because of all the bullet-dodging required to reach the final cache location. I would also advise future cachers to REMOVE your hubcaps and car stereo BEFORE setting out for this one (lessons learned!). Took crack pipe and 9mm pistol, left bail money and business card with phone numbers for local prostitutes. Thanks for the cache! PS - I also picked up the "Philandering Executive" TB - will try to get him closer to his goal of the Clinton presidential library. "
  7. Nice pic. I hope your escort is the one taking the picture By the way, I think you're allowed to take pictures there. They won't let you take pictures outside near the entrance facilities, but people take pictures out where you were all the time. It would be a cool place for a cache, too
  8. OK, nevermind, I figured out how to install the update. Tell me, though, what J, K, and L stand for on the status toggle?
  9. quote:Originally posted by FuziDave:I’ve updated the CacheFinder program for the Pocket PC. I added a PC program also that lets you enter data from the PC. you still manually have to move the 'caches.xml' file from your pc to your palm pc to see the changes. on the palm pc, I added a 'clue' section and a status (found, not found, couldn't find). also you can save 5 points of reference to calculate from (home, work, etc). let me know what you think. http://users3.ev1.net/~fuzidave/cachefinderupdate.zip Dave, I downloaded the update and it doesn't appear to install any changes to my PocketPC - it's just a .vb file and an XML file along with the PC applet.
