  1. Oh wow... Guess I'll stick with the wooden nickel idea Thanks!
  2. I just called, no can do... best advice they had for me was to send it back, oh well.
  3. Just curious here, but how much does the average coin cost to make? Here's what I'd like: It's a complete front/back mirror, stocking cap shape with my 'X' logo on it. Thoughts?
  4. Looking forward to your response since I just purchased CN 2008 not knowing 2009 was coming out so soon.
  5. Find out if there is a free upgrade for a certain period of time, doesn't hurt to ask.

    TNLN?

I think my favorite DNF entry is WTF? "Where To Find" Come on people... this is a family site.
  7. I'd say if you are happy with yours then get her the same one, that way if she has problems you'll know whats going on. (Plus if you break a piece on yours you can just swap with hers)
  8. I picked up a box of golf pencils on ebay for about $6 shipped and I have more than I'll ever use in a lifetime lol. Sure, they are pink and have a casino name on them, but hey... to me that has anti-theft written all over it
  9. I'm actually a graphic designer at heart (and went to school for it) I'd love to get into this. Fact is, I've been struggling with how to go about doing a coin (can't afford it on my own) and have been just coming up with designs for fun. I'd love to help, seriously.
  10. Most of the frustration with the Colorado seems to come from people used to other devices, not so much problems with the unit, just different ways to get the information they are looking for. I went with the 60CSx initially and still have it, great unit, powerful and a real workhorse, it's easy to see why it's so popular. That said, I am also waiting shipment of my Colorado 400t because I really want paperless caching. Along with the 400t I've ordered City Navigator and sold my nüvi that I used for in car navigation. Since I rarely need the navigation portion I went with the smaller form factor and one device.
  11. Gotcha... I guess that point kind of got lost in the thread and I wasn't sure if you had changed your mind on that or not. Tough call, but from experience what I've learned is that if you think you might use/need something in the future it's better off just to bite the bullet and pay for it from the start. I can't tell you how many times I've gotten what will get me by only to sell it for a loss and upgrade, sometimes 3x over. Not trying to talk you into something you don't need, only you truly know that answer... just throwing out my experience and recommendation based off of it. In the end, almost ANY GPS will do - it just depends on what features you want. The reality is, you don't need any maps at all, but it sure makes things easier.
  12. The mighty Dodge Center...
  13. I for one am thankful for these easier caches, it helps get my 5 year old involved and it's also good for me being a beginner myself. That is why the ability to view them on the map is there, as well as difficulty, terrain and also to read the description and log entries.
  14. Today: Car kit for my Colorado 400t. Yesterday: City Navigator NT 2008 for my Colorado 400t. Yesterday: 6 Lock and Lock containers.
  15. I don't get it, if you're going to run streets and topo anyway why not get the 400t to begin with? It supports larger SD cards and has the topo already loaded to boot. That's exactly what I did anyway... 400t plus City Navigator NT 2008 = bases covered.
  16. Easy there... it could have mentioned something that gave away the cache location, personal info, or any multitude of things - not necessarily a business. Whatever the reason, they had one... good enough for me.
  17. Only 16 finds so far but where do I start... 1. Daughter's face lighting up when she found her first cache, priceless. 2. Getting outside with my kids and having fun. 3. Realizing when you drive through towns at 35 miles per hour you miss a LOT of cool history that was right in front of you. 4. Finding MY first cache, and second, and third and... Sorry, mine aren't like finding people 'doing it' in the woods or anything, but they are cool to me.
  18. I thought the same thing! Thanks, much better now
  19. What was the fix? I have my time zone set right... ???
  20. ArcherDragoon, I've tried to find some of your caches, including one next to your home but had no luck yet! I won't give up though, I just need to be properly dressed as they are on my way to work. Here are the two caches with canines: GCRYFJ GCZQ50
  21. Uh oh, I laughed at that ... am I going to hell now?
  22. New to the hobby, 16 finds to my name at the moment. Went out Friday morning before work and find a great cache, along with a deceased black lab. Think to myself, odd... but I guess I'm "in the boonies" where people might dump such a thing. Head back out Saturday, found another great cache, along with a deceased yellow lab. Is this common? Do you post this info in the log to warn people that may be sensitive to such 'finds'? Hopefully my 'luck' doesn't get any worse, not the most pleasant way to end a journey.
  23. Wow, that's an odd place to find a travel bug! Thanks for checking in, you'll want to view the travel bug section at: http://www.geocaching.com/track/travelbugs.aspx If you're not interested in getting into geocaching then perhaps there is someone close by you that can place the 'bug' in a cache and let it continue it's journey. If you ARE interested, you can find caches near you where you can drop it off by going here: http://www.geocaching.com/seek/
