Before I knew any better (well, just a few months ago), I purchased a 2007 Lackey coin. Found out, after the fact, that they were not supposed to be sold (in fairness to the seller, they weren't even cachers and didn't know anything about geocoins). Long story short....I emailed a question or two to the lackeys and one of them offered to let me adopt the coin, which I did! So, for whatever reason now, they do allow adoptions of the 2007 coin. Cool, too, because the adoption comes from Signal. Edited 'cause my grammar stinks.

We are finally home after our awesome three-month caching road trip! It was like Christmas in September for me with all the mailers. Geocoin heaven, to be exact! I would like to post some pics of what was in my mailbox, but can somebody please tell me how to do that? Embarrassed to say, I don't know how!

Really wish it was a different month than the Block Party.

I recently bought one of those books from somebody who has a bunch from The Caching Place (which doesn't sell them any longer). It seemed like a great idea. What I discovered is that the glue holding the pages together between each row of coins doesn't stick and the plastic inserts have sticky glue all over the edges. The coins fall out every time the pages are turned. Has anybody else had better luck with these? Wonder if it's just because it's old (it wasn't a used one, just been around for a while). Anyway, I was disappointed with it and am still searching for an easy way to display my coins.

We are really starting to dread when a new update happens. We really want to be supportive of the Groundspeak folks, and don't make any judgement about people who enjoy doing the new challenges. Personally, we don't care for them and don't really see what they have to do with geocaching, so we will leave them alone. What I feel really depressed about is that the newest upgrade focused almost entirely on the challenge issues. There are so many other issues that preceded these that I get discouraged they aren't being addressed in the updates. The main fix we would like to see is to be able to DISPLAY CACHES ON THE BETA MAPS ON OUR MOTOROLA XOOM. The beta maps issue has gone on forever and I just don't get why newer issues (like those with the challenges) get fixed first. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE fix the maps. We didn't like the beta maps when they first came out (still don't like them as well as the original maps), but we have learned to adjust since that's what it is. However, we still have to go to the original maps on our Xoom, which we use most of the time now when we are out on the road. Please address the older issues first and fix the maps.

Hi! and welcome to the world of geocoins There are not too many posts on this forum, and I would suggest reading the previous ones because they offer some really good advice and different viewpoints on what you can do with your coin. Please feel free to do whatever makes you happiest and enjoy it! Everybody has their own opinions, but there are no rules and that's one of the nice things about this hobby.
