  1. This is one event that I would not miss. I'll provide the Paté de foie gras. And another canoe.
  2. Great day and Fantastic event! Best part was wandering around the course, giving tips where needed and generally watching folks get initiated to caching. Funny to watch a group of three or four, all walking with eyes fixed on their gps'ers, then - oops! - the signal shifts and they all turn 38 degrees in unison. Congratulations to GEM's for orchestrating such a successful program. Nice meeting and working with geoducky, WeightMan, Allanon, MarcusArelius, and all. I left GEM's with most of the clean-up, though I did clear the course. So now I'm sitting here in my den with 8 slightly used cache boxes. What to do with them?
  3. Noted. GEM's, I will send you an e-mail regarding the details.
  4. http://www.world66.com/myworld66/visitedStates for state's visited, also. These are fun to work with, but I would like to see Groundspeak come up with their own. Using the world66 map is easy, but then your profile map is dependent on the link to world66 -- which I have noticed goes down alot. Further, the US states map is distorted, and distorts the peronsal profile page (adding a width statement of 400 helps somewhat). There have been lots of great enhancements to the geo.com web site, but I would like to see some attention spent on the profile page.
  5. Monday/10:30 is fine for me.
  6. The Convention Center really is an excellent place. What's next?
  7. I think it's $9 or $10 per day at the Convention Center, and also at Freeway Park parking right next door. Some of the cheapest parking in town - the tough thing is the way these garages get filled up for big events. I see that the Convention Center is now WiFi enabled (did I say that right?), for $10 per day.
  8. Congratulations jcar, and all the others I have missed recently. Good job!
  9. Looks fine... I can remain flexible and fill in gaps as others chose their times, though the 8am shift may be tough.
  10. My office is right there, I should be able to cover an hour or so each day - sounds like fun! Some concern about the actual caches, though. I expect they will all need to be within walking distance of the Convention Center - right? You may need to get some local shopkeepers involved. Frecky's would be ideal for one cache that's already established. You could also work in This one - if their picture show up, they earn a card. Something like that. You might also make use of a virtual -- if they bring back the correct answer, they earn another card.
  11. It knocks me out to see one of my mini-coins -- they are actually golf ball markers -- pictured among those fancy coins. Thanks Ray&Rose for including it! A few people have asked about them. They were produced by Qulitylapelpins.com. Good outfit; one day I e-mailed them a general idea of the art work I wanted, and they took care of the rest.
  12. Placed one here today. Where have other WA coins gone?

Been down that way a few times myself. I'll try for this one within a month, or so.
  14. Iron Goat Trail. Typos drive me crazzy.
  15. I'm trying the same thing, but in a little different way: (See this coin) Unfortunately, I placed it in a cache that is unlikely to be visited again until the next spring thaw... I have the worst luck with Travel Bugs, though that's a subject for a different thread.
  16. Hi. I'm GO West. It's been 2 days since my last DNF. What color geo-token do I get for that milestone? LindaLu, I've given up on several Heinous hides. This one after three tries, driving very far out of my way each time to search. I never logged a DNF! Oh, what a relief to finally admit that!

    Sick Bug

Thanks for the tips, BlueDeuce. "Marked missing" is fine - but you know, there's no closure that way. Although, when I go, if my wife wants to avoid the ceremony and just mark me as missing, that's fine with me.

    Sick Bug

Yea, that worked. Thanks, IV Warrior. I would still like to gain control of my bug, maybe place him in a TB graveyard. So, still asking for help regarding failed Tracking Numbers. Has this problem never come up?

    Sick Bug

The number does not match... maybe I'm using the wrong one, but I don't think so. Who can I contact? Background: the bug has gone missing, the cache owner would like the listing off of his cache. I would gladly move it to the TB Graveyard, but am unable to grab it using the tracking number. Help!
  20. Placed one here this morning. I added a little twist to it.
  21. Good idea for a thread... Too late now, but last week I placed one here while visiting Spokane, and another one here. Both coins were gone by the time I logged them online.
  22. Another #400 today: jcar! Congratulations, and great choice for the milestone!
  23. Don't worry Crimson, I bet you'll have them by Apple Cup! By the way, I got the highly coveted and hugely sought after #114!
  24. No no no no! My coin hang-ups are mine, and no one elses! I don't want to force my weird standards on anyone! My point all along has been that these collectables are too rare, especially since so many of them are themselves now collecting only dust. Share-the-love is a fine system. (I might of given it another name). By the way, I picked up my WA coins this morning. GO has sorted them and hid them away somewhere in her room. I have no idea where they are.
