  1. Do you own one? Have you used one? Yes and Yes.
  2. To many bugs. Wait 3 months and look at it again.
  3. That doesn't leave much. So much for paperless beaming...
  4. If you are a premium member you can configure a pocket query search to run daily for new caches in your area. If your not one, its probably to much trouble to do searches manually every day to look for new caches. What is it like 30 bucks for a year to sign up?
  5. Buy a used Garmin 60csx. Should be able to get one in that price range.
  6. Sure here is the ver info: This is the cart: http://www.Wherigo.com/cartridge/details.a...18-29a6487aaaa5 Temple Square Part 1 Everytime I got near the Mormen Tabernacle Chior it crashed the Colorado. One time I had to take the batteries out to get it to start up again.
  7. Yea I am seeing what you mean. I meet another geocacher in the field and he gave me coords for another cache nearby, but navigating in the compass mode is more difficult. Does anyone know if I get a cache beamed to me by another Colorado it shows up in my unit as a geocache and not a waypoint with logs, etc.?
  8. Well I finally got to a place that had some Wherigo carts but when I started to do one it crashed my 400t three times. I gave up. Add Wherigo to the list of things that don't work on the Colorado.
  9. Is it possible to change the coords of a geocache in the field? Conversely, can you input coords in the field and get the geocaching nav screen ? I don't like the waypoint nav screen. I want to use this screen to navigate with when I type in coords: Not this screen: Is this possible?
  10. Thanks for the info, I thought it was one of the spare sats or something exotic like that...
  11. Anyone know what the little red dot on the edge of the sat circle is?
  12. I don't have a compass needle on mine with compass enabled, but the luber line works. In general I think the compass functions very poor on this unit. I try not to use it.
  13. This one is my favourite of the 5 possible screens. Wow, thanks Red. I didn't even know that screen was there..
  14. What about Georgia, you know the Peach State?
  15. I use mine for a paper weight on my desk sometimes. It makes a great conversation piece. Also its a great back up source of navigation if you are at 40,000 feet over the North Atlantic and have total electrical failure. (Assuming the engines are still running, if they aren't, it doesn't matter were you are).
  16. The 400t does handle multiple GPX files, so if you individually download a cache to the 400 you can manually delete it. The way I handle getting rid of found caches is with the pocket query. I don't download caches already found. About once or twice a week I just replace the big GPX file on the 400 with the new PQ which does not have found caches. So over the course of a week the found caches are removed from the 400 database. I do however download some caches individually for various reasons with which you have to go in and delete each GPX file to get rid of once you find them. Of course once they are marked "found" on the 400 they don't show up in the active cache list anymore, but remain on the unit until the main GPX file is modified/replaced.
  17. That same thing happened to me looking for a cache. But it happened only that one time. It really made me mad with the unit, but so far it hasn't reoccured. My EPE was at 49 for no apparent reason. Normally its about 15-18. I thought it might be due to sunspot activity but I think its the unit.
  18. You make a good case for the map screen. I'll try using it more. Its just that I like things big, like the needle on the compass screen. Easier to see. The little needle on the map screen seems to jump around allot when you get within about 25 feet or so to the cache. The needle on my Forerunner 305 doesn't do that. Maybe Garmin needs to smooth the needle movement down a bit on the Colorado.
  19. Just a quick question. Is Delta V related to Delta Force?
  20. I think you should just get the Colorado. Cause if I have to suffer through this beta testing everyone should.
  21. I hope they increase the maximum brightness setting so I can see the display outside..........
  22. Normally I use the map screen but I occasionally use the compass screen -- what do you want to see? GO$Rs You like this navigation screen : Better than this?
