maybe there is a hidden reason behind this...is it possible he doesn't want you to like this? or have you along? not trying ot be mean, i'm just wondering if he wants this to be his thing and doesn't really have a way to tell you.

I'm glad to hear the positive things about this unit. My wife bought me a Csx for my B-Day and it should show up in the mail anytime. I look forward to playing with it and figuring it all out.
you sir have an AWESOME wife.
oh and not to rub it in or anything...I took a long lunch today and drove home...literally met the UPS man at the door. I have to admit...its one of the only men i get excited to see.

even though i have no idea how to know when a new one is posted...off to read more i go...
I even had this odd thought yesterday that one day i might find all of them in my area and a possibly great hobby could screech to a halt...i worry more aobut that...

Ordered one today. Got myself free overnight shipping, so should have it by tomorrow or Wednesday, pending when it leaves their plant. Sweet deal. Hoping to do some serious caching this weekend, so I'll have time to learn it!
amazon perhaps?
I just ordered mine just this morning also, and after reading your post, we are very alike in how we approach a purchase

Reviewing a Nuvi for geocaching would be like reviewing a rifle for fishing. You can use it, but there are far better choices.
Well, a rifle for fishing? I'd rather use a shotgun seeing it will go deeper.
I just started geocaching (this weekend actually) and used my NUVI 360. It's not perfect, but for those short jaunts, it did the trick. Fragile? Yes. Did it get the job done? Yes. Would i trust it for a long hike? No.
I am currently looking at other options. I like the touch screen, but it will stay in my Jeep. the 60CSX is expensive, and while i may do that, i want something i can drop and not have my heart sink when it does.
60csx turn off contours
in GPS technology and devices

I have the Garmin Topo maps loaded onto my 60csx and like most of the features on the map, but find the contours to be sometimes too much. Is there a way to turn off contours on the 60csx itself? or a way to remove them on mapsource?
