  1. LOL!!! I can picture it now... Deego struggling to push a wheelbarrow up a mountain, containing... 2 x 50kg bags of concrete mix Water to mix Wooden planks to create a mould Shovel to dig footings Theodolite and GPS to ensure correct position etc etc
  2. Nearly 300 caches found, with 3 caches owned and another about to be hidden (so, say 4) = approx. 1:75 Admittedly, one of the caches I "own" was adopted! (With regards to the one I'm (hopefully) about to hide, I received a letter from the National Trust today to arrange a meeting with their Head Warden to discuss a suitable hiding place.)
  3. I often walk our dog up along the Ridgeway by Wayland's Smithy and the Uffington White Horse. Unfortunately, though, it can sometimes be very dangerous as motorbikes and 4WD vehicles often come hurtling past without a care in the world for pedestrians, children or animals!
  4. Yes boss!!! ...but did you notice that my NYM TB has made it to Sydney Australia!
  5. No... I'm still "stuck" on 297 and haven't hit the 300 yet!!!
  6. Another pathetic month from me! I'm secretly waiting for Seasider to come and visit so that we can go out and find 1,000s!!!
  7. Was that my TB County Rover? That's the second time he's not been logged into a cache and has simply been "found"! "Mistletoe Bough", the cache you found him in is a fairly new cache and had only been found by two people before you (not including the cache owner as well), so it shouldn't be too hard to find out who left it there. Although I'm not interested in apportioning blame... I'm just happy that he's safe and well and in good hands.
  8. Oh come on... you can't leave us in suspense like that!!!
  9. ...and who's that person I recognise on the far right of the picture, in the background?!!!
  10. The gentleman with his back to the camera (wearing glasses) is John Stead and the gentleman looking directly at the camera is Seasider. I think the gentleman with the white top is AdrianJohn. Not sure I recognise any of the others.
  11. I trust you've made it a level 5 difficulty as specialist equipment is required!!!
  12. The only Starbucks coffee I ever had tasted horrible and I've never had another one since!
  13. Congratulations! Looking forward to seeing you again soon for some nice long caching days. I might even need to get a good torch once the clocks have gone back!
  14. Can you be a bit more specific as I know a few people who work at the MoD who might be able to help you?
  15. Pharisee: And there was me admiring your handiwork with a sewing machine, when I found your cache at Minsbury Plantation!
  16. M40 J10 - Cherwell Valley Services near Bicester. GCD6A9 - Walkieeeees
  17. I translated mine into English as I hate to use American spelling (or pronunciation) at any time! I also cut and pasted the text into a Word document, reduced the font size to 10 and managed to get it down to A5 size (ie two to a sheet) by reducing the margins on Page Setup to 1cm.
  18. Can you please explain why the two webcam caches I have found do not turn to red but have remained blue ever since I did them (namely GCB4DC and GCA347 ) ?
  19. Some call them "pink jobs" (for her) and "blue jobs" (for him) and yes, I did say BLUE! In our house, if a job needs doing and you're capable of doing it... then do it! Hubby goes out to work and earns the money whilst I stay at home and look after the house, the garden and the car. I can wire a 13 amp plug, change a spark plug and a tyre and operate a petrol lawn mower. I don't even mind hubby leaving the toilet seat up as I consider it just as inconvenient (excuse the pun) for him if I leave it down as it is for me if he leaves it up! By the time I've got all that done on a Monday, I have the rest of the week free to go out caching!!! ...and when it comes to gadgets... we each have a mobile phone and a GPS and a computer and when it comes to IQ... we both did the Mensa test and I got 2 more points than he did!
  20. Buy yourself your own GPS and see who can find the cache first!!!
  21. Having read both articles and considered the "facts" presented therein, I still stand by my decision to sign the petition.
  22. Well... it looks like maybe they won't work as a cache box anyway (see Pharisee's post). I have to confess, I have never been fly fishing, only angling with my father and brother when I was about 12!!!
  23. These are designed for fly fishing but might be useful for a small cache box. Magnetic Box (You will need to scroll down the page to Magnetic Fly Boxes.)
