  1. Ha ha, all fair points, I just didn't expect some of the hints to be, well, exact descriptions of the hiding place. I always seemed to be little teasers, however I have to concede points given above especially after introducing Scouts to geocaching who need very specific direction ;-)
  2. I've come back to geocache after a hiatus, and my goodness what had gone on? Nobody seems to put meaningful information in the description and the hints just tell you exactly where it is, where the challenge in that, have we dumbed it down too much. And nobody seems to spend the time getting a good GPS reading either.
  3. Many thanks for you actions, as I have eluded to previously nobody is full aware of everybodys personal circumstances and time is given freely, but there has to be some continutity and consistency. For my part, now that the cache is disabled I will visit the site and look at cito'ing myself, I have always checked on this site and have cleared many chip papers from it, there has been no broken glass at any time. I can imagine that the syringes where alarming even though they where clean and still wrapped up. I will however amend some of the instructions and look at minor relocation of the cache if looks like the site is becoming a further mess in the future
  4. I think that I am not glued to my computer every minute of the day, disabling the cache and an e-mail would have been more productive as I could have visited the site assessed the situation again and made adjustments if necessary. I do have a great deal of experience of public health and safety and would not have compromised that for a cache hide. (and i know a reviewer does not know anything about me) however, disabling would have been the preferred action, and answering my e-mails would have been a polite action. As for using the word dictatorship please explorer the definition. I am annoyed at the course of events and believe I have not been rude. However if anybody is offended please let me know. Otherwise you need to get out more.
  5. I have had a cache archived by a reviewer after a complaint by a geocacher, despite the fact I have maintained it only very recently. and what is even more anoying is the reviewer has so far not responded to any messages. AAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaahhhh How annoying surely caches should be disabled first pending archiving if the issue cannot be resolved, what sort of dictatorship is this. How do I esculate this if I get no answer? Regards TeaMasH
  6. They all were in the notification radius, and no I never did get the notifications for the others?? strange!
  7. I am getting this problem every time even when I only have a few waypoints any ideas why it will not write to my ipods (tried my classic and the other nano we have) Any ideas ?
  8. I recently went for a cache after it came through on my e-mail.. great i though we went and got and where FTF however imagine my displeasure after I logged it and saw the logs of some of the others talking about the series. Turns out the cache i went for was 1 of 4 but I only got notified about 1 of them anybody had this happen.
  9. Now we are very new but the understanding of how it works is not a difficult context to grasp ( i suppose it lies in the same region as common sense and common decency) Our understanding is Take something... leave something... Help travelers on there way! don't mess up the cache and give it some first aid if its injured. Why is that so difficult or is the 'find a cache take everything leave nothing find another' going to reflect the way society at large is progressing. Ooops sorry getting heavy there. Any way we understand and I think we will enjoy it.;-)
