  1. As many are aware I have recently stepped away from local geocaching. Over the last few years I have spoken often in cryptic text and hopefully challenged you to think on your own. In parting I now speak in plain text but still hopefully challenge you to think on your own.

I appreciate the support I have received from my geocaching friends!

  2. I will soon be starting a new series of " Coded Caches ". They will start in Wabash County and I'll see how they develope from there. I am currently pondering some ideas and will hopefully put them into effect soon.

This series should get greengecko's blood pressure up since he is the Master of cryptology.

Just for the record, the photo of My Precious

was taken at the Bottom of the Rock, and it didn't sign the log sheet--altho I did notice some foul smelling green slimy stuff on the outside of the cache container---maybe it couldn't get it open?

yessss... my precious did sign the log sheet... look again.... smeagol brings them up secret ways that nobody else could find.... tired he is.... thirsty he is.... yessss.... thirsssty.... and he guides them and he searches for paths.... and they say sneak.... sneak...

  5. "It's no good going back ther to search, no. We doesn't remember all the places we've visited. And it's no use. The Baggins has got it in its pocketses: the nasty noser has found it, we says."

Not this way... master! There isssss another way. Yessss indeed there issss. Another way... darker.... more difficult to find... yessss more ssssecret...

  6. I will second the vote for Bletchley Park, it only took us four hours to decode after we figured it out, and then 4300 miles of travel to find the cache and log it.

no log, no... no log. mmm.... send us what coordinates its got in its pocketses. yessss, then we will tell if it knows or if its just tricksy.

  7. This one is new but it has to be a serious contender...

Great-looking site, but I have a question: On something like this do the GC approvers know the "real" coordinates? I mean a 10km circle is pretty big. If someone was trying to place another cache too close (by accident, of course) to the actual coordinates would the approvers be able to alert them the spot is "reserved". I am in Indiana and might look for this sometime!! ;)

sssss, praps we sits here and chats with it a bitsy, my preciousss. it likes riddles, praps it does, does it?

yessss.... always we must to provide details for the reviewer. yess my precious always we must.
