  1. :signalviolin: There is a lot we can do.

You can contact the govenors office and complain.

You can also write your congressmen and house reps.

You can also contact the DNR to voice your great displeasure.

You can write an editorial to the local and state newspapers.

You can contact the local mayors office and ask them to put pressure on the govenor to repeal the bill.

I am outraged at yet another slap in the face by the very people we put into office.

Thomas Jefferson once said "All tyranny needs to gain a foothold is for people of good conscience to remain silent."

I have kept quiet long enough.

  2. Yeah, I'm a registered user of GSAK & didn't realize that it would keep culling the duplicates. I had been deleting the old & installing the new PQ every time... Duh! Thanks to all of you for pointing that little tidbit out for me. I can't help but wonder how long it would have taken me to figure it out without asking?

    Thanks Again!

  3. I have a question / suggestion, First a little bit about the situation. I use a Magellan Explorist 210. I also use Microsoft Streets & Trips to build a travel plan using waypoint pushpins, to prevent wasting gas. I have found that if I build a pocket querry which is limited to 500 points, that when I download multiple querries to get a list from a particular area, that I will always get some duplicates. These duplicates are very cumbersome to deal with.

My suggestion is to not have a limit on the pocket querry of 500 points. I don't know of the problems associated with a querry that big but if it's a file size issue then maybe someone could figure out how to get the CSV file by itself to import into MS Streets & Trips Map.

Anyone interested in sharing your thoughts?

  4. Thanks Clement. By installing on three computers (1 for each explorist) I was able to get all three loaded with the same detail map. And yes... Mine is the DVD version.

I suppose you have the CD version. If you have the DVD version, it is hopeless, because the software is bound to only one serial number, even if you install it in several computers.

For the CD version, when you generate a map, there should be an option to change the serial number. I believe you can change it up to 3 or 4 times. After which you will have to reinstall before you can change it again.

My suggestion is to generate all the maps you would even need for one serial number, file them away safely. Then change the serial number, generate all the maps again and file them away, and then do the same for the third explorist. After that, you don't need to generate maps any more.

    Hello All,

Sorry about the second post for the same thing but I realized that the topic description didn't really describe what I was trying to ask without opening the post.

    The Question is:

Does anyone know of a way to use the Mapsend TOPO 3D USA Software with Multiple Magellan Explorist 210 Serial Numbers. I went like a fool and have bought 1 software package & 3 Explorists... The only way to date that I have found to load a region to more than one unit is to install the software on multiple computers.

    Thanks in advance
