  1. My family and I are going to be driving from Silver City, NM to El Paso, TX, as part of a geocaching road trip. Any suggestions for how we can easily get a cache in Mexico, to add another country to our list? We have US passports, but we have a rental car so we'll have to park it on the US side and walk into Mexico. I'm looking at the caches in Juarez and I'm not optimistic that we'll be able to actually find them -- a lot of DNFs -- but maybe there's something I'm missing.

(Sorry for posting in English but my Spanish lessons were a very long time ago. I've also posted in the US Southeast forum.)

(I'll post this in the relevant Mexican forum, too, but thought I'd cast a wide net.)

  3. I'm new to GPSs and geocaching. I have a Magellan GPS, and I'm trying to enter the coordinates for the "Flamin' Hot Redux" cache. The coordinates are:

    N 47° 44.843

    W 122° 18.728

My GPS has coordinates in this format:

N XX XX.XXXX (one more number at the end)

    W XX XX.XXXX

When I put them in like this:

    N 47° 44.8430

    W 122° 18.720

My GPS changes them to this:

    N 47° 44.8428

    W 122° 18.7278

Any idea what's going on? Am I attempting to do the right thing by just adding a zero at the end? What am I doing wrong, and why is my GPS overriding me?
